I think it would be more accurate to say the soldiers of the Angar Rylla are no more evil than the red coats of the British Empire, there's a significant distinction there between policy makers, or the political entity of an Empire, and the people who fight for it. Ultimately, the British Empire was a self serving one, willing to sacrifice people's who were unable to fight back for material gain. That's not all that dissimilar from the Angar Rylla, and its definitely not a moral thing to do from any standpoint. Even if the end goal of both Empire's (control and assimilation) may actually lead to peace and prosperity, the means don't necessarily justify the ends in either example.

Funny how well they work in comparison, I suppose the British Empire's maritime strategy is applicable to theoretical space empire mumbo-jumbo.
