High School Rumble!
Interest Check A new year dawns on Kagetora high school, and with it comes a new Student Council. The previous student council held the record for amount of time in power, which in the end was only one full year; but Kagetora that in itself was a feat. The thrones of the Student Council are the most coveted asset in the entire school after all, and over the years clubs would even forge alliances with others in order to take on the student council. With the previous student council having defended their title for a whole year until they graduated, the current student council already has enemies amongst the new Third and Second years. Those who were afraid of the previous generation's power. The largest obstacle between them and a council seat has been removed, and the current Student Council is mainly made up of those chosen by the previous student council, casting doubt on their strength. The alliances grow bolder as the days go by, and the council doesn't seem to be able to do much about it. But this is hardly something new in Kagetora, this is something that has happened countless times before. If the council is not strong enough, then they aren't fit to stand above everyone else. If you want to rule, you're always going to have to be strong.

Score
Winning a fight or doing well on a test will earn you a certain amount of Score. This Score will determine your school ranking which basically serves as an indication for who's the best in the school. Score divided into two things which are 'Points' and 'Ranks'. As you gain Points you will gain the same amount of Ranks, but the difference is that Points can be used to purchase things and Ranks will stay constant.
Rank: As stated before, as you gain Points you will gain an equal amount of Ranks. You can only lose Ranks by betting them on a fight, or by breaking the school rules. Your overall school ranking is decided linearly with your Rank, which simply means you having more Ranks than someone else means you are higher in rank. You'll need a certain amount of Rank to pass the year level but that's not exactly difficult to do. You'll gain a set amount of points and rank for a victory and the other person will also lose a set amount of rank for a loss, but you can bet more or less if you really want to.

Points: Points can be used to buy resources such as food and club equipment for your personal use. Of course, certain things are pricier than others. You gain points proportional to your assessment scores with additional multipliers depending on the subject, or you can fight for them just like Ranks. You can bet a certain amount of points and the other combatant will have to bet the same amount of Points.
Each student who starts their first year begins with 1000 Points and the same amount of Rank. Every 1% on any given assessment will give 10 Score for an average subject. For exams it's a little different, if you score over 90% you'll get 100 Score per 1%, 50-90% will get you 50 Score per 1% and anything below that will just be normal. Regular fight points are split into the three dorm tiers. C-tier will give 100 points for a win, B-tier will give 500 points and A-tier will give 1000 points for any average win, while the loser will lose that amount depending on their tier.

Fights
Fights are a regular occurrence. If there aren't any random fights breaking out in the school, then that just means that an event where you'll have to fight hard is coming soon. You can fight for any reason, or even no reason at all. There are very little rules when it comes to fights, but the ones that do exist are strictly reinforced. They include:

Both sides must consent to the battle
No fighting can occur before or after school hours
Fighting can occur anywhere, but if Rank is at stake then fights must take place in a designated fighting area
Anything wagered on a fight must be given when the fight is over
The specific rules of the fight can be decided by the participants, but other than that anything goes
Breaking these rules can result in a Point deduction or even a Rank deduction
For some people, fights are their main source of Ranks but for others who can do well in their studies they don't need fights to pass. But if you really wish to excel in this school, you're going to have to fight.

Structures
The school itself is divided into two places. First is the main school complex, and behind it are the dorms. The dorms are split into four 'tiers' with the first three being available to all of the students, and the last one is exclusively used by members of the student council.
Rank Requirement: 0 The C-tier dorm is a fairly normal dorm by anyone's standards. It has normal accommodations with a maximum of four per room (using bunk beds), but you can request to have less. You are able to arrange who lives with you if you want, and meals are provided for you in the communal meal area but they are relatively standard in comparison to other dorms. C-tier houses the most residents.

Rank Requirement: 10,000 The B-tier dorms are simply a step up from C-tier, requiring a certain rank to move up. The rooms are larger and each can even have their own desk inside. B-tier rooms also have their own bathrooms even though meals are still only communal. You can either have a full sized bed or a bunk bed and you can still live with other students if you wish.

Rank Requirement: 100,000 The A-tier dorms are rather luxurious in comparison to the other dorms. Rooms are spacious and meals can even be delivered if you don't want to come down to get them. The A-tier dorms also have their own lounge and entertainment area. A-tier usually houses the least students of the three open dorms, but not just because of the rank requirement. Some students don't move up because they wish to stay with friends who aren't on their level.

The Student Council Dorms are a little different from the others. Instead of having any set structure, their rooms change depending on what they want. Actually, the entire dorm's structure changes according to their wishes. Over the years, there have been greenhouses, tea parlours and even a store-front selling products and guided tours of the dorms. It should be noted that those tours actually took about an hour to complete. Changes are made by the school's phantom re-constructors, only the Student Council know their identities and none of them have told anyone.
The school complex also has its own host of unusual structures. In the center of the school is an auditorium with a large pit fighting arena at the bottom, the school courtyard has spectator seats ringed around the outside, and most of the classrooms can be re-purposed as arenas in case some students are having a disagreement without disturbing the class. Besides those there are the standard structures such as the library, sick bay and staff room; there are also many spare classrooms in case some get destroyed during the day.

Character sheets

Name: Appearance: Gender: Age: Year Level: Faction/club: Power: Bio: Score:

Appearance: It would be nice if you could just go anime pictures and whatnot but you can do whatever you really want. Year Level: It's either 1st, 2nd or 3rd. Like how it is in Japan, ages are usually 16, 17 and 18 respectively but you can have skipped grades or not moved up grades if you really want. Faction/club: I haven't done any faction yet, but at least you know there's the student council. You don't have to wait for me to start making factions, you can make your own factions or clubs if you really want to. Just ask me about it so I can give the OK. Power: For your powers, you should give it a name and add strengths and weaknesses if you want. But for some powers strengths and weaknesses are a bit weird so you don't have to do it. Bio: You can make it however long you want but if it's getting to 3+ paragraphs then put it in a hider for our sakes. Make sure to include some history and personality, it's also good if you can have some history with other characters, it makes things interesting. Score: First years start with 1000 and anyone above should probably have more. Your Rank also determines what dorm you're in, but you don't have to be in your rank specific dorm if you don't want to.

Factions
A faction is basically an alliance of clubs usually based on mutual benefit. Sometimes though, Factions can basically be just like extended clubs. They are obligated to have a display during festivals and during certain events, they are basically their own team. There are many factions within Kagetora but the most noteworthy factions are the alliances made between the biggest combat oriented clubs in the school.
The Fighters are a collective of all of the Martial Arts clubs in Kagetora. Their main traits are their sheer physical and mental strength, as well as being mediocre on the grades. The clubs in their alliance are:

Judo Club
Fighters. They’re fighters. Fighters who practice some sort of art that goes back hundreds – literal hundreds – of years. They’re strong physically, and they’re even stronger mentally. They prefer only to fight when necessary, trying to avoid all sorts of conflicts until it is absolutely required, and even then, they try to end the fight as quickly as possible. So, simply put, they’re fighters. Need I say more?

Boxing Club
They’re fighters. Fighters who prefer to fight with their fists – and only their fists – to try to subdue their opponent. They’re strong physically, and mentally… well, they might not be so “right” in the head with all of those punches going to their head, but they’re strong. And hopefully exciting. No one likes a Mayweather sort of fighter.

Fighting Club
… Do I really have to explain this one? They’re fighters. Fighters. Fighters. Fighters. They like to fight. The Fighting Club is more or less a sort of “trash bin” for every other martial arts, such as Krav Maga or Jiu Jitsu. Those likes. The Fighting Club was also formed to be a sort of “middle man” in the alliance between the Judo Club and the Boxing Club. They’re fighters.
Club descriptions written by [@Ryu]

The Imperial Regiment fashions itself as a sort of army if their name wasn't enough to clue you in. Quite possibly the largest Faction in terms of members, mostly due to the popularity of the clubs that make up the Imperial Regiment.

Kendo Club
Oh dear god. It's the samurai-wannabes. They practice Kendo -- or in this case, known to the Otakons, the "samurai art form." They fight with bamboo swords -- as typical of them -- and when the going gets tough for them, can fight with an actual, real, steel katana. More or less, they despise the Boxing, Fighting, and Judo club simply because they... fight with their bare fists. What a stupid hatred. (Also done by [@Ryu])

Archery Club
The archery club prides itself on being able to use bows. As in really use bows. Either do a triple backflip and still shoot straight or pin a fly to the bullseye and then you'd be considered good. Standards for their higher ranks are tight, but not so much with the rest of them. One thing is always constant though, they hate the ballistics club with a passion. Maybe they like to overcompensate.

Ballistics CLub
You thought Archery was the best ranged option? Think again. For Kagetora's Ballistics Club, guns are where it's at. At school, you're legally allowed to carry and use a gun because even if you basically kill someone they just pop back up again the next day with no memory of what just happened, so target practice is going to be the least of your worries. Not being the target is the problem.

The Coalition of Ichor is considered to be a rather strange group of clubs in terms of open combat. Those who are in the clubs that make up the alliance tend to have powers that aren't suited for direct combat, instead the clubs share resources to create ways of going around direct combat.

Science Club
Well, they say 'science' but no one knows what really goes on in the club rooms after hours. Students sometimes report momentary blackouts as they walk by, among the few identifiable symptoms. Of course, the students in the Science club are always eager to 'examine' them.

Occult Research Club
The combat powerhouses of their alliance, the Occult Research Club have probably the strongest direct damage powers in the Coalition. That being said, there aren't very many of them because they only take people with occult-themed abilities. They are perfectly capable of getting by on their own, but they seem to have been the ones who formed the Coalition of Ichor.

Going Home Club
A club made entirely of introverts, it's amazing that they even managed to last as long as they have. When every club meeting consists of a whole room of people staring at each other too afraid to say anything, you'd wonder why it was made in the first place. Rumours say they were allowed into the Coalition of Ichor because the other two clubs felt pity for them.

Current Student Council
The current student council is unique in the sense that their members didn't come from Factions, but the previous student council decided to choose who would initially be the next after a certain incident. Concerning one of their own. Currently there are only actually four members, the Acting President/Vice President, the Treasurer, the Public Relations Officer, and the Student Relations Officer. The Acting President took over the role of President since the actual president disappeared saying he would have to go for a while. The current Treasurer is the person who was sort of responsible for the student council ending up where they were now ([@Ryu]'s character) The Public Relations Officer takes care of school events and most of the things to do with school events. And the Student Relations Officer has the task of keeping an eye out on how the students are 'interacting' with each other. Basically, who's fighting who, why are they fighting, and is a war going to break out soon?
