Augur, the Student Relations Officer

Year Level: Second Year. Faction/club: Student Council - Student Relations Officer Power: Trickster An animated magical power which belies the laziness of Augur, while also supplementing that inherent attribute. Trickster is a power which manifests itself in two ways. Portal Creation As the name suggests, Augur has the ability to create portals, allowing the connection of two locations. Augur can have up to two portals existing at a time. For the most part, Augur can manipulate the size of the portal, anywhere from the size of a tennis ball to the size of an average door. People and items who enter one of the portals briefly travel through a zone which can only be described as "obnoxiously purple" before reaching their destination. However, sentient beings in particular are quite slow when exiting a portal, meaning one could take advantage of this in combat if they are fast enough. In addition, Augur must have been to an area in person before he can create portals there. Naturally, Augur uses this ability to quickly navigate around school grounds. Allowing him to do his job as the Student Relations Officer, despite his languid nature. Trickster's Space The second, more offensive aspect of Augur's Trickster ability, and is seen as the obnoxiously purple space between Augur's portals. Trickster's Space allows the creation of items, which can be conjured and subsequently be released from a portal. The items that Trickster's Space contains is limited in a sense. Not only are they limited in size (no bigger than your average door), but they also seem to follow a circus/prankster motif, with some emphasis on offense. Bouncy balls, bombs which look like bouncy balls, spiked bouncy balls, and various circus-related items. Common procedure calls for Augur to simply create items from a portal to pelt an opponent, but Augur may also release an avalanche of rubber balls to strike an opponent, redirect already thrown items via the use of his portals, and subsequently retrieve them to throw again. While Trickster has high offensive potential in some cases, it lacks defensive capabilities outside of a few specific scenarios. Because of this, Augur is often vulnerable to being attacked, should his onslaught miss or be resisted. Bio: Augur was born into an average family. His parents had dreams of a having an intelligent child, and wanted to push Augur to be exceptional in school. At the same time, they were worried of the adverse effects of putting pressure on their child. They decided they would wait to give Augur this push. This turned out to be a mistake. Perhaps the parents should have made the attempt at edging Augur towards greatness sooner, or maybe it was just ingrained into Augur's personality extremely early, but the boy was possibly the single most lazy child to ever exist. In spite of this, he managed to do surprisingly well in school, but that only served to reinforce the idea that he didn't have to put much effort into anything. It was around this time that he discovered his power. Whether it came about through family bloodlines, an experience, or sheer purity of will from laziness, Augur did not know, but it solved many of the issues that came with his personality. Allowing him to travel to nearby locations with ease. The uniqueness of his power allowed him to join Kagetora, and within a year Augur was able to ascend to the rank of Student Relations Officer. The intricacies of his ascent are somewhat obscure, most assume that it stemmed from his ability to warp and subsequently gather information regarding who is fighting and why. Some claim that he had achieved his title through combat, although hardly anyone has witnessed him fight before. His extreme laziness has already been established in his reputation among students, but so has his above average intellect, leading some to believe that he has a sort of hidden potential which serves to deter some students from challenging him. Augur appears to have no goals at the moment, aside from his desire to keep solidarity within Student Council, and also graduate by putting in as little work as the rest of the Student Council allow him.
