He would be hidden better in the trees than on the flat plains. He knew he hardly had any time left. He needed to get to the boats. They weren’t too far away, considering he ran for most of the way. Flame, still, seemed to be sound asleep in his backpack. He looked around for a brief moment and quickly snapped a branch off the tree above him. The sound alerted the I-Men pack ahead of him and he quickly maneuvered over to another tree. Gripping the branch in his hand, he took a deep, silent breath before throwing it back around the other tree, hopefully out of the sight of the I-Men. It landed with a crack on the other side of the I-Men, a good ten feet away. They all whipped around and Sebastian took his chance to run passed while they inspected the noise. He smirked and looked down at his hand. The color was sort of starting to go back to normal, but the black wasn’t leaving. He frowned and curled his hand up into a fist and kept running. He knew it wasn’t too far, but right as he reached the edge of the forest, and he had the dock in sight, something grabbed him by his backpack and threw him to the ground. “Fuck!” he swore, jumping to his feet. He stared and saw that an I-Man had ahold of his backpack. Wasting no time, the I-Man reached his hand in there only to draw it back out rapidly, the top part of it missing and a bite mark in its place. Sebastian laughed loudly and said, “Good job, Flame!” He quickly tackled the I-Man, knocking the backpack loose from its grip. The I-Man, trying to get the pen, threw Sebastian off of him, and scrambled toward the bag, where Flame was now sitting out in the open, the pen between her teeth. Sebastian swore again, this time under his breath, but he quickly jumped to his feet and kicked, willing his powers to come forward. A flame shot out of his foot, melting his shoe, but blinding the I-Man in the process. Realizing that there would be more coming soon, especially if this one was alone, he scooped up Flame, shoved her back in his pack, zipped it up, and sprinted for the boats, kicking off his shoes as he ran. He would need them. It took him a whole two seconds into running to realize that his foot had been burnt and he yelped in pain, slowly way down. He examined the bottom of his foot and saw a diagonal line across is foot. He growled in frustration, but proceeded to limp toward the boat, where he saw Sajio and the other elves waiting. He noticed the Squid Elf and the Horse Elf standing next to the same boat. That would be very interesting. He limped up onto the dock and proceeded toward Sajio. He paused in front of him and pulled his backpack off of his shoulders. He unzipped it quickly, opening it up to show Flame sitting on the journal with the pen still in her mouth. Flame growled as Sebastian tried to take it, but one quick burst of flame from his thumb and she dropped it immediately. Sebastian picked up the pen and presented it Sajio. “I didn’t lose it, as asked. May I proceed onto the boat?” He made sure to ask and tell all of this politely because he knew that Sajio had a rough time as it was with some of the kids. He smiled down at the Elf and looked toward the forest again, where he could see the I-Men prowling and a few kids begin making their way through the forest as well. He saw a young British Pre-Star he recognized from his house, but she was limping. She made her way up onto the dock, produced the pen, before falling onto the dock, gripping her ankle. Shrugging it backpack up onto his shoulders, he knelt down next to her and asked softly, “You alright, Jessamine?” “No. I sprained my ankle running from those stupid creepy guys,” she muttered. She looked up and smiled at him. “I’m not surprised you were one of the first ones here, considering the fact you are an Orion, Sebastian.” Sebastian smiled and reached into his backpack, digging underneath everything, before his hand came in contact with a role of gauze and medical tape. He always kept some with him since he has nearly set himself on fire more than once. He tossed it to her and said, “Wrap that up. You’re going to need to be able to walk.” Jessamine smiled and wrapped it tightly and quickly before tossing it back to him. He smirked at her before proceeding to look toward Sajio, waiting for the go ahead to board the ship and get on their way for this World Journey.
