In hindsight I made my post a bit too angry in tone, so I apologize for that. Sensor damage means that you won't have information of zones adjacent to the one you're currently in; you'll know where Yeshua went to if you keep pursuing him should he escape, for example, but not where Archer and Rose are currently.
