Another zombie dead and Max was starting to feel his muscles become tired. His training had helped him develop endurance, but in a life or death battle his adrenaline and training would only keep him going at full strength for so long. These unholy beasts just kept on coming and Max had to become more precise with his strikes to try and minimize his usage of energy in order to keep from tiring out. After he shattered the bones in a zombie's neck severing the spinal cord, Max switched to using his shotgun and began shooting at any undead that came near him. It was a few seconds afterwards that Zane the magic-user suddenly appeared beside him. This caught him off guard and he almost took aim, but he stopped himself after realizing that it was a teammate. When he heard Zane ask if he needed any help Max just gave the teenage magician an 'are you serious?' look. "Of course not, why would I need help when my powers are perfect for taking on a bunch of infectious undead?" he said with his voice full of sarcasm. "Of course I need your help! Everyone needs help right now, we're getting overrun so get that magic working and do something to clear this place of these wretched creatures" he said sternly to the Titan as he blew open a zombie's head scattering its brains all over the floor. Max then heard Rhea's response to Rufus' commands and he knew from how she had spoken that the news of the twins had made her desire to kill these fiends. He understood her pain, he too didn't want to show these things mercy and he wouldn't, they had killed two of their teammates. "Thermo, Cell, if your still here we need you get here as fast you can. I know that you're devastated with what happened to the twins, I am as well, but we need to stay strong and defeat these fiends. Never give up! Titans now! Titans forever!" he said into the communicator and hoped that he could get their leader to keep his spirits up in case he had lost them after hearing of Lock and Load's death. One thought also came into his mind, where the hell is Sentinel?!, the Kryptonian still hadn't arrived yet and Max was getting frustrated at the absence of a heavy hitter in this horrible situation. They now more than ever needed a Kryptonian's strength to help put an end to this horror and chaos.
