Name: Benlin Orofarius Age: 27 Gender: Male Race: Nord Appearance: Personality: Despite being a savage fighter, Benlin is of a friendlier nature. In some ways he is very zen and composed, not letting many issues affect his psyche. Wars, Dragons, the weather, nothing really affects him in terms of psychological stress. However, one of the few life issues that do get to him, is the loss of someone beloved by him. As a man who spends his days working at the local lumber mill, Death isn't very common place. Nobody sticks around long enough to die in front of him, so he has little tolerance for it. Ironically, Benlin is constantly putting himself in dangerous situations that may be fatal. His conviction to not let people die, constantly makes him puts his own life on the line in order to save or protect those around him. This is reasoning for his absurd and crazy fighting style, it doesn't matter what he has to do, as long as he's the focus and no one else. Aside from his obvious views on the value of life, Benlin takes joys in the little things. Relaxing in the sun, listening to the city rumble with excitement and taking strolls around the hold are some of his pass times. His calm demeanor helps him think clearly while out of combat and usually helps with resolving problems, either his own or others. History: In the vast lands of skyrim, Benlin had a very mundane life growing up at a mill just north of the major city of Falkreath. Although it was a family mill, they still had a contract with the Jarl of the Falkreath hold stating that they must "donate" a few tons of lumber every few months. It wasn't much of a problem for Benlin's family, if anything it gave them something of a Fail safe if they couldn't sell their lumber to traders or merchants. Benlin grew up into the trade, his father didn't waste anytime teaching Benlin all about the inner workings of a mill, and what you could do with wood. Eveything about wood and lumber, Benlin learned from his dad. Benlin was in his late teens, he decided to expand his experience and trade. Instead of his family only doing business with Falkreath and traveling traders, Benlin would travel and sell bulk lumber to towns and holds who need it. Life was good. Things started to take a darker turn when the appearance of dragons started to surface. For the first few months, Benlin and his father started to make a fortune from their lumber business. But soon, the demand for spare lumber in bulk became to high for the two to handle. The Jarl of Falkreath hold demanded more lumber from the Orofarius family, a little to much. When the Jarl demands you bring 200 sawed logs to his doorstep every week, the stress and work really take a toll on you. Eventually Benlin and his father had to pay out of the contract, leaving them out of a job and soon to be out of money. For the next few years they struggled to make a living. Their lumber business was a hit or miss situation, Customers either wanted bulk lumber that Benlin and his fater couldn't produce, or they didn't want lumber at all , instead, they just wanted stone. Benlin and his father knew this dragon predicament was going to be a long one, so they decided to sell the mill to a couple of weirdo's who had the coin. They later moved into Falkreath, living in a measly house that was built recently. Benlin heard the call to arms, from the Jarls and decided to join. He didn't have much fighting experience, especially not against dragons, but he couldn't stand by and let others do the job for him. He was a nord through-and-through, and it was his duty to uphold the honor bestowed upon the people by their Jarls. Before he got notice of where to go he practiced and trained, even though is was a short time, he collected as much knowledge as he could from his peers and his father. He is now finding himself on his way to Whiterun hold, in hopes of joining his brethren in this valiant fight. Skills: From working in a lumber mill for most his life, Benlin has incredible strength that is constantly being exercised. He uses his strength to his advantage by wielding large weapons like great-swords and great-axes. He may not be a master with two-handed weapons, but his particular fighting style is fairly hard to fight against. Benlin is also skilled carpenter, and wood worker. Being able to craft things like tables, decks, chests, doors and is able to do repair work on wooden houses and cabins. Benlin isn't very skilled in armor making, but he knows enough about it to know how to finely tune his armor to his body and others. Spells: Benlin never really took interest in magic so he doesn't know any spells. Equipment: Benlin is fitted with a set of old fashion steal armor. The style is rarely used nowadays but it still protects just as good as any other armor. He has a Steal chest plate, gauntlets and boots. He doesn't wear a helmet out of preference. He is equipped with a custom made Great-axe. Made from the glorious fires of the skyforge, this great-axe has seen many hands before meeting his. The Axe fell into benlin's possession after he witnessed a murder, the killer didn't loot his body or his belongings. Benlin isn't no thief, but his urges pushed him to searching the man's horse carriage where he found this marvelous axe. As backup, Benlin is equipped his a single handed sword. the sword his being held by an incredibly snug holster that prevents the sword from bouncing around while Benlins swings his axe wildly.
