I don't know if I'd call this low fantasy, unless you mean the character herself was built for that kind of thing. ^^; That being said, she still fits a lot better and I probably just misunderstood you there.

She was built for low fantasy. Your setting seems anything but though.

Also, for clarification, Cristine will bring her horse into the dungeon.

Okay, sorry about the misunderstanding.

Hey, as long as there's enough room you can knock over and trample goblins or whatever else with it, eh-heh.

Why is Al listed as a hardened warrior?

Kind of meant to be a joke about how he's hard to hurt. ^^; The warrior part's because he's a warrior.

But he's not hardened. He's described specifically as a kind-hearted babyface.

Well, I know, it's about how he can take a lot of physical damage as a joke, not his attitude.

I mean, I can change it if you like, it's not a big deal. It's just a silly little title thing.

Edit: And edited.

I'm not sure hard-handed is a real descriptor, let alone one I'd use for Al.

It's a joking character tab description. It doesn't matter if it's accurate.

I don't really mind tweaking it. Hard-fisted is a better way to put it anyway while still preserving the contrast.

Name: No-Point

Age: ?

Gender: Male

Race: Human

Class: Warlord

Appearance: The warlord known only as No-Point is a big guy. He stands at approximately six foot six and is built like a brick outhouse. His face is always hidden by a bandit mask. His hair is sparse and thinning, revealing that he may be older than his strength implies. Notably, his rounded ears are always on display, as they are the mark that identified him as a non-orc and a point of fear for orcs from his time in Orodagor. His clothes are thick and rough, his jacket long, but removing it he reveals his huge, bare arms.

Personality: The best way to describe No-Point's personality is 'clinical'. He is stoic, methodical, and slow to anger. He is surprisingly jovial to his allies, and disarmingly polite to his enemies. His methods are pragmatic, rarely defined by emotion. While he speaks eloquently, it is rare that he raises his voice in anger. As a result, he is very capable of playing the long game as he possesses patience far beyond most other warlords, and would never destroy anything that could eventually serve him. Many 'donated' orc weapons and tools have been graciously accepted for his armies.

For some strange reason, No-Point is an avid patron of the theater, enjoying the sound of song and dance.

Brief Backstory: The man now known as No-Point has a past shrouded in mystery. His true name is unknown, or even if he had one in the first place. Rumour has it that he trained under the remnants of the Witch-Queen's army, but no one had heard from her in years. What is known, though, is that he earned his name from the screams of the orcs and goblins as he killed them one by one, entering their culture as a terrible demon, possessing ears with no point.

For some time, he led an army of orcs he had beaten into service in Orodagor, until he finally crashed it into one led by another aspiring warlord. There were no survivors. Since then he has been on the move, working as a mercenary wherever his travels take him, and always eager to build an army to conquer the land and give the people their freedom. Soon, the fires of his own empire will rise. But he is always wearing the mask, causing many to wonder about its purpose...

Equipment: His tremendous strength and the clothes on his back.

Abilities:
Terrifyingly Powerful - No-Point is outrageously strong and intimidating. Someone punching him poorly is likely to break their hand. His fists are like giant meat-covered anvils. In addition to his size, No-Point has somehow received training in the ways of the orc. He is not only strong, he is fast, precise and ferocious in his fighting technique. The end result is, not only is he a combat monster, but a terrifying man, gaining followers on fear alone.

Unexpectedly Clever - For a brute, No-Point has a very canny mind, capable of making inferences that none would expect from a brute like him. His chief weapons are fear, surprise and ruthless efficiency. He is capable of strategy, tactics and logistics and a skilled orator. He speaks far more eloquently than one would expect of a warlord.

Good At Being Where He Shouldn't - For some strange reason, No-Point is able to appear in places where he is completely unexpected, and though there is often a logical explanation he will never explain how he actually got there.

Creature Of The Night - Nothing so dramatic as vampirism. Having been born and raised in a land of darkness, that is where No-Point operates best. When in Orodagor, or during the night, he is much more comfortable and focused, becoming even more dangerous.

Name: Tai Blane

Age: 22

Gender: Male

Race: Hundi

Class: Soldier of Fortune

Personality: Tai is a friendly person who enjoys the company of others and is always looking for a party to travel with. He is loyal to those he travels with and would never betray the trust of others no matter what happens. He is a lover of rare and exotic items and is known to buy any item that catches his interest, which lead him to start hunting for dungeons as he heard that some incredible items could be found at the end of these adventures.

Brief Backstory: Tai lived a fairly average life filled with combat training until his sixteenth birthday when he was sent out on his first journey to discovery the world. Two months into his travels, he met up with a troop of human mercenaries that took him under their wing and taught him how to hone his skills and showed him how the world worked. He stayed with the troop for over two years and raised a good amount of money with the group where he gathered most of his current equipment from the various lands that the troop traveled through taking on different kinds of jobs. He even learned a handy magic spell from the resident mercenary magician who had been trained at the Mage school.

Tai returned to his home for a year until he grew restless and once again left home to travel again. This time is travels took him farther East with groups of merchants who hired him as a bodyguard to protect against bandits. As part of the payment for his services he requested an exotic slightly curved sword that one of the merchants carried rumored to have come far to the East past lands never seen by anyone living.

He now travels around looking for groups to explore dungeons as he sees that as his new source of thrills and adventure. His ultimate goal is to gather as many exotic items he could collect and find someone to finally settle down with.

Equipment:
  • Leather overlapping armor
  • Katana
  • Various assortment of knives collected over his travels

Abilities:
  • Enhanced smell and hearing
  • Light on his feet
  • Knows only one spell that allows him to enhance the cutting edge of his sword to cut through metal, the incantation takes some time to cast. He rarely uses the spell as people question if he is a witch when he uses the power.

@Boomrocker: Sorry, I have some issues here. To start with, him possibly being trained by the remnants of the Witch-Queen's army doesn't much make sense. She was running an enormous coven, her army was largely magic-users. Even the ones still around went into hiding when she was seemingly killed. Basically he'd have to be over eight-hundred years old and a mage for that, and while that's possible he's clearly not a mage.

If he just appears in random places why exactly is he going to a party? He seems more like the type of character who'd be working towards gathering an army or something.

Speaking of his armies... just about the only two people who have ever achieved a large army of orcs were Hidroroth and his successor, Izandrath. They were respectively a god and something comparable to an angel. Not even the Witch-Queen got them following her, because they're pretty nasty in their outlook on anyone but other orcs or things they can use to fight. Even if he killed a lot of them, they most they ever do with humans that isn't killing or capturing them is sell captives they don't eat to slavers.

@SilverDawn: I don't see problems here, accepted.

@MonkeyBusiness: While I won't give anything final until he's finished, why does he have a katana in a more European fantasy setting? I mean, there IS a fantasy Japan equivalent but unless he went there it's unlikely that he got one of their swords. And he's probably not from there given that Hundi are from West Ithillin. ^^;

Gender balance is a bit skewed, but as long as the characters interact well and things are fun for the players it doesn't really matter.

Also, anyone who has signed up can begin work on a dungeon(multiple are allowed) if they so choose. These will go through the same approval process as characters do.
