Not long after Nero had spoken, he heard the sound of the door behind him unlock rather loudly. Turning his attention fully to the door, he could see the darkness that lay beyond it. Adjusting his grip on the shield that now sat in his hand, he couldn't tell if he actually wanted to proceed. As mystical as this place seemed, he couldn't help but feel uneasy at the odd nature of what was transpiring. With a heavy sigh, he shook his head, making his way to the threshold of the door. Pausing for just a moment longer, he'd steel himself as he stepped forward into the dark, walking with whatever resolved resided within him. All at once, the ground beneath him lit up in another mural, this one of a blonde woman dressed in pink, her form kneeling as she reached out for an odd device. A point on the mechanism seemed to be haloed in an odd light, with an eerily familiar silhouette behind her. "What is this place?" Nero spoke aloud to himself, his voice echoing in the silence. For a moment, the boy would remain confused, walking almost every inch of the platform before coming to the edge opposite of where he had arrived. All at once, a tangible platform would appear. Hesitant, he placed a foot upon the platform, taking a deep breath before walking forward. Sure enough, another platform appeared, followed by another, and another. This continued for a little while, all the time Nero had kept his focus forward as he marched on. As he made his way to the next door that appeared, the boy wasted no time in opening it, only to see a shadowy disk beneath him. Curiously, he stepped out, but only a portion of the platform appeared. It was only after the others arrived that the platform began to complete itself, presenting a mural of two very familiar figures. "Rikku and Sora?" He couldn't help but feel an odd comfort at the images of the heroic duo that had at one time fought for his world. Though they were merely images on glass, he couldn't help but feel a little more comfortable despite this odd place. It was then he began noticing the others from before, one of which was the blonde female and the black haired male from before. As he overheard them speaking, he continued to inspect the platform on which they stood. This place was very strange, very foreign, almost nothing made sense. Why him, why the six other? All these thoughts would receive no answer as his gaze fell down upon the shield within his grasp. It was then he noticed the risen pedestal in the middle of the platform, walking over as he began eyeing the device up and down.
