[*]Lightning Rod setup. It helps to be able to keep track of them, but that gets harder with a longer fight as he gets more of them out.
[*]If he throws them into a crowd of enemies, he can Lightning Rod between all of them and slash each one.
[*]When he dashes to a pin, he doesn't have to keep using Lightning Rod, he can get to a pin in order to pick it up, or because he simply stopped.
[*]The lightning pins cannot be dashed to if they're laying sideways on the ground. They work because they work like a lightning 'rod', or a small one.
[*]They're too small to attract actual lightning.
[*]He can keep one near allies in order to be able to dash back to them and assist them.
