Around the world, an epidemic is spreading. People are having more nightmares and getting less sleep. People are becoming more on edge, they have less focus, and people are finding it harder to do their jobs. Scientists are baffled because they can't find out why this is happening. Some people think this is very real, while others think that the "epidemic" is nothing more than the media blowing hot air about some people not getting a good nights rest. The real cause of these nightmares is actually found in a parallel dimension. It is the DreamRealm, a place where the dreams people have are made and a place where people go when they dream. The Nightmare Army, lead by Erebus, have marched their forces over the lands of the DreamRealm. Now, with only one area of the world remaining, the protectors of the DreamRealm have no other choice. Morpheus, son of Nyx the creator, has to call upon the Champions to help take back what is theirs.

Name: Kathlyn (Katie) Brook

Age: 16

Personality: Katie is the kind of person who is very excitable. Her energy and enthusiasm are very palpable, but she only exerts this energy for things she likes. For everything else, she's mildly indifferent. One thing to note about Katie is that she's incredibly stubborn, trying to find solutions to problems on her own without listening to outside opinions.

Talents: She is one of the key players on the Swimming Team, being able to swim for long periods of time without tiring. She's also relatively athletic in other fields, but swimming is her true passion.

Hobbies: Katie likes to swim in her backyard pool, both for exercise and relaxation. She also reads comic books and owns a collection of various sea shells.

Family: Her mother is a Marine Biologist who works at the local aquarium. Every now and again she brings home a few gifts from the aquarium gift shop. Her father, on the other hand, works from home as a small time artist. He's also an incredibly talented chef...or rather, the only one in the household who can cook.

Appearance: Katie has medium length blonde hair and deep blue eyes, with a few freckles dotting her cheeks. She is 4'7" and has a petite figure. She wears a few different sets of clothes, but can mostly be found wearing a teal T-shirt, deep blue shorts, white knee socks, and white tennis shoes. She also has a locket in the shape of a sea shell that she wears every day.

DreamWorld Appearance: Her hair goes from being medium blonde to very long and cerulean. Her eyes remain deep blue, but she goes from being 4'7" to 5'4". She wears a dolphin hair piece, and her clothes change to become more combat oriented. She wears a teal sleeveless cloth shirt, a flowing skirt, black thigh boots, and pale blue elbow long gloves. The weapon she wields is a golden triton.

Real World
Name: Maria Willard

Age: 16

Personality: While Maria is by no stretch a strong or big personality, she is best described as a steadfast and steady one. She is kind and patient with most things and people, perhaps one of her greatest qualities as a person is her ability to take the time to understand someone. But this often means when someone does cross her line, her retribution is severe. She is a hard worker that doesn't shrink from her responsibilities, though unless they are important to her personally, she is unlikely to carry your load for you. Of course, that does not mean she is not willing to help.

Talents: Maria has always had an affinity for animals. Her patient and gentle nature allowing her to get close to a verity of different creatures regardless of their temperament or previous treatment. The same is mostly true of people, though she finds them a great deal harder to figure out and get close to given their more fickle and stubborn nature. This challenge has, oddly enough, lead her to a long career with the debate team. She has learned that patients and understanding is rarely enough and that some measure of persuasion or force must be applied, And that is her preferred method.

Hobbies: Reading. When Maria is not volunteering at a local animal shelter she is likely at home or a library with her nose stuck in a book. It is how she connects with her rarely at home mother. While they each read independently of one another, so they may suggest books to each other, they often will pick a book to read at the same time as to share the experience.

Family: A father who works locally in the area. Not a big job but it alone would have been enough to support the family, if on a much more meager level. While the job isn't as all consuming as his wife's, it keeps him busy enough that Maria has to do a fair bit of help with her younger sister.

A mother who is, more often than not, away for business. She holds an important position of management with a large global company. This leads her to be away from home a lot, traveling around for her job. When she is home, she becomes the center of attention, as it is a great treat for her to be there, especially for the children. There may be some tension between her and her husband about her frequent absence but they mostly work through it and it rarely goes much beyond occasional personal talks behind closed doors.

A younger sister, Alice, only 7 years old. A shy child, but one with a very active imagination. She prefers the company of her sister to most, but has seemed to started to grow up a little more and venture out on her own path and finding her own friends and interests. While Maria is proud of her sister, she can't help but feel a bit of saddens about losing her shadow.

Awesome. While I write up the first IC post, I wanted to ask you of the possibility of playing villain characters. Most of the villains are Generals of the Nightmare Army who have control over a certain parts of the DreamRealm. They usually take on the form of General <insertgodorgoddesshere> to act as a code name, and then their actual name to give them something to be called by. If you're interested in playing some villains, I can whip up a CS for the generals that you can fill out later.

I would be more than happy to design and play a villain :D honestly, one of my favorite aspects of role playing is the character design part, so any chance to make more is always a plus for me. Though I am a tad confused. So will the generals be beings of the dream realm or will they be human champions of what ever dark force is behind all this?

The Generals are a part of the Dream Realm, like everything else there, but a couple of the more powerful generals could be humans brought into the DreamRealm like the others by the Nightmare Army.
