Hello RPGuild, I have an idea for a roleplay in a parallel version of the NARUTO manga. In this alternate universe--basically Hashirama was the dick instead of Madara so the following happened: Madara Uchiha became the first Hokage and Izuna (who survived in the place of Tobirama--however Tobirama had already invented both the shadow clone jutsu and edo tensei prior to his death--and also, because of the two Uchiha becoming Hokage, there was no Uchiha massacre) and became the second Hokage. The third and forth were still however Hiruzen and Minato respectively, thus Minato and Kushina still died and sealed the Nine Tails into their son Naruto. Hiruzen, as it was in the canon, took his place as Hokage in order to keep peace whilst a true successor was found. Also as in the canon, he died against Orchimaru and the two previous Hokage he revived, Madara and Izuna. Itachi Uchiha became the fifth and Hokage and rules in the place of Tsunade Senju (who is still just doing her thing at this point).

Due to Naruto still being an orphan whilst Sasuke has a family, they still have a bitter rivalry however Naruto tends to be more of the jerk. However, Sasuke never runs away. So instead of there being a hatred (on Sasuke's end), it's just a simple rivalry. They're both training every hard in order to become the next Hokage (yeah, they both still have that same ol' dream). So Naruto still went off to train with Jiraiya for two years while Sasuke, on the other hand, trained with his older brother Itachi.

As far as Obito Uchiha goes, that's all basically the same as it was in the canon storyline. Except it was Hashirama who saved Obito and blah blah blah. Instead of Obito going by the moniker "Madara" he goes by "Hashirama" instead, and only has his one Sharingan (which is covered by his mask). He also, thanks to Hashirama, has some of his cells in order to use wood release. So the Akatsuki is still in this AU, however it is Danzo who is the Akatsuki member for the leaf opposed to Itachi. Now this roleplay will pick up right after the Pain Invasion (so your character could have already died and been revived thanks to Nagato's last jutsu thing) and is at the point of the Five Kage Summit as they're meeting about Hashirama becoming an increasing threat. (Obito is the one who attacked Killer Bee in the cloud as he had nobody to it for him.) So currently, Itachi is out of the village and his former student, Akio Senju, has taken role as temporary Hokage until he returns. Anyhow, that's about all for the current setting and everything.

Whew, that was a lot of explaining. Now that the story is out of the way, time for the rules. There's not really a limit on your Jutsus, I just prefer that if you make your character a genin--keep them at genin level jutsus, same with chunnin and jonin. Posting wise, anywhere from a paragraph to a five is good enough for me--just don't make it an essay okay? While I am a fast reader, others aren't and may be turned off at the sight of a wall a text. Alright, if you're interested in this idea--please let me know. I'd really, really love to play this out and see where it leads. :)

In this is Shisui still alive or did he still die to Danzo, but this time when Danzo leaves to join the Akatsuki? I'm looking to be a Uchiha who is somehow related to him.

How important will our characters be to the story since we still have Naruto and Sasuke there? I'm guessing that Naruto still defeated Pain possibly with Sasuke's help.

And are we going to be in one squad or different squads depending on how many players join?

Oops! I forgot to mention Shisui. He is alive, Danzo left and became a rogue ninja after Izuna chose Hiruzen as his successor instead of Danzo. He traveled the shinobi world for many years on his own (much like Sasuke did) until the Akatsuki was formed many years later and recruited him. Sasuke was originally died against the deva path whilst buying time for Naruto to return to the village (due to the lack of his Mangekyou Sharingan as Itachi Uchiha still lives) but was revived with Nagato's jutsu. And the squad issue depends how many players join. :)

Orochimaru took interest in Sasuke as he was the younger brother of protege Itachi Uchiha, however instead of actually getting to Sasuke during the exams--he was thwarted by the third, Kakashi, and Itachi. But now Orochimaru is just watching Konoha from the shadows, looking for any other "special" Uchiha. And actually, they do still have the curse of hatred. However, it has been nearly eradicated due to the lack of true hatred against the Uchiha in the village. This AU isn't taking place because the entire Uchiha clan were good per say, but because Madara was more of the kinder and optimistic fellow despite having the curse of hatred. :)

Sooooo Interested.

So, I'm pretty interested in this, but I haven't seen much of Naruto yet. I've watched up to episode 39 of Shippuden, and have played the first 2 chapters of Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm 3, which starts right before the five kage summit. That means I'm missing a big chunk of the story inbetween. Should I actually watch all the episodes, or would a simple summary mixed with what you've explained suffice? Also, what's your opinion on ninja from villages other than Konohagakure? I wanna have a Suragakure nin.

@Kafka Komedy I mean I wouldn't say you have to know the original material 100% to participate in this roleplay. It would certainly help a small bit, but it's not required. I'd recommend finding a quick summary of the most important arc that you missed, the Pain Assault arc.

But all you really have to know right this very moment is Konoha is still rebuilding from the damage of the Pain invasion as Itachi is off at the Kage Summit. The only reason Konoha still stands is because Naruto single-handedly stopped Pain/Nagato. However, before Nagato died he revealed that he was not the true leader of the Akatsuki--but the masked man that goes by the name of Hashirama is.

I'm totally fine with Ninjas from other villages but they'll be in Konoha at the start of this roleplay to help out rebuilding the village.

I'm intersted in this.
