Why would it be the first time she spoke to him? In my profession section I stated that she's been working at the Casino as a Bartender and Waitress, but never a Dealer. So I would make the assumption that she's spoken to him before - maybe not in depth, but with some sense of familiarity. Of course, if you would prefer her entirely new to the town - instead of a couple months of experience here - then I have little argument.
