I can't think of any personal, real life issues that would make a person remove some portion of their players.

Moreover, it's not about looking good here; Vita already lost any chance to look good with the decision to relaunch as a private game. Right now it's about a lack of respect for her fellow players. If you get punished, you at least deserve to know why.
