His eyes naturally found the latest adventurer to enter the Labyrinth, but there wasn’t time for him to do much else before a monstrous sound drew his attention in the opposite direction. It couldn’t have been long, maybe a few seconds, before the pair of goblins rounded the corners and charged towards them.

Having seen the corpse of one, he wasn’t too surprised by their appearance but could only think, ‘Damn they’re ugly.’ Still, if a ranged fighter could take one down even when it closed the distance then did he not have to meet the two without question? Ares would probably think so, and thus he took a single step forward and settled into a defensive stance. 

Hopefully the girl had listened and was ready to loose an arrow when an opening presented itself, but Alexander didn’t overly concern himself with that for the moment as he braced himself against the monsters with a smile. The creatures might have been stronger than a regular human, but they could only weigh so much for their size. With his strength it should be easily possible... Shield braced to bash one aside and hopefully leave it vulnerable for the archer, he prepared to parry the other creature’s attack with his blade, ideally in a manner that would force it back and open it to counter-attack.
