Jason slides into an alley behind a church looking out onto its loading dock. [color=00FFFF]'ok, just a few blocks to the police'[/color], he thinks to himself. he had given three zombies the axe before getting over here, they lurch surprisingly fast. he hears some muffled screams from the church
[color=lightcoral]"They are coming in!"[/color]

there is a barrage of gunfire and screams. he hears the people inside panicking and fighting they obviously don't know to go for the head. there is a small window that keeps turning white from the muzzle flash. 

[color=lightcoral]"Dont let them get the children!"[/color]

[color=00FFFF]'oh no... i dont want to hear this.'[/color]

he hears more gun fire, but less screaming. the people in the church are losing the battle. a door opens and a little girl is pushed out some woman screams to her

[color=228B22]"run Sarah. run. Run! RUN!"[/color]

the little girl runs crying, her face and dress covered in tiny blackish red droplets. like a zombie was shot and killed near her and the spray of gore hit her.

[color=00FFFF]"Sarah!"[/color] Jason yells over the screams coming from the church, to try and get her attention. [color=00FFFF]'What are you doing?... She needs help... She will slow you down, get you killed... i have to... no you don't she's dead anyway... no, i can keep her safe... really?.. i have to try... why? we don't live in that world any more... part of me still has to.'[/color] the conflict in his own head raging even as she runs towards him. a tear comes to his eye, [color=00FFFF]'she is like.. six, maybe eight. she will die on her own... so? that didn't stop you with Her... i- i have to, to make up for Her'[/color]

Sarah reaches Jason crying her eyes out, Jason kneels down and tries to quiet her. [color=00FFFF]"shh. you need to be quiet now. shh"[/color] she does start to quiet down but the tears keep streaming from her face [color=00FFFF]"your name is Sarah right?"[/color] the girl nods, but says nothing. maybe keeping quiet like Jason said. [color=00FFFF]"ok, i will keep you safe Sarah, my name is Jason. I will keep you safe."[/color] she reaches out and hugs him still crying, but quietly. [color=00FFFF]"you need to follow me, stay right behind me, and stay quiet ok?"[/color] again she nods without making sound. Jason looks back and the loading dock of the church is empty. He hears the sound of gunfire close... no, not gun fire, fireworks. whatever, it doesn't matter. Jason takes Sarah's hand and he goes around the building next to the church, Sarah in tow.

from here he can see the Community Center and sees a pair outside and hears someone shouting at them.
