Been ignored is worse than rejection. At least I know that the ideas have been taken or that we are not compatible, rather than leaving me hanging and [i]pretending that I don't exist/some annoying fly who crashed into your inbox by mistake[/i] - that's ruder than being told 'sorry but not interested' in the face imo.
