In another universe there is a flat plane. Beyond the plane is infinite darkness. 25 doors are spread out along the sides. Well actually they aren't doors, they are portals. But they are made to look like doors by whatever entity/life form made that place. Each portal leads somewhere random in all of reality. Not the universe, but the infinite amount of universes and suspended spaces that exist. The only non-random thing about it is that each place you go to has a threat or some kind of problem that needs to be solved. Once the threat is defeated or the problem is solved, that door closes and the next one opens. People are waking up onto this plane for some reason. If all the doors are closed maybe they will get sent home. But they won't actually know because they have no information, they just wake up and see one open door. The people can be characters from any movie, game, tv show etc.
