What if the school doesn't even provide dormitories since it's so elite? Maybe instead they give the poor kids a pension (separate from tuition) to be able to at least afford a studio apartment. Maybe a specific apartment building near campus. Either that or the dorms are just really crappy. That would force the poor kids to come up with other living arrangements. If there's a way they can all contact each other, maybe even an on-campus support group to hook them up, it would make sense for them to find a house somewhere.

Then they could throw their own parties, it could potentially make them more popular with the otherwise elevated rich kids.

We could go with the simple solution which is to stick with the original idea.

Anyway, if [u]anyone who can't afford to live off-campus would be interested figuring out living in a house, let me know, it would be fun to try[/u]
