10 Years have passed since the ancient Pokémon awoke, and the planet was nearly destroyed. A hero by the name of Lucian was able to capture all three of the legendary Pokémon, and put the world to rest. The members of Team Aqua and Team Magma scattered. Some returned to basic walks of life, while others became petty criminals. Others however, were recruited by Team Rocket, who's agenda is of a nastier sort. However, for the last decade, Team Rocket has been very low key. A few thefts here and there, but the legions of officer Jennys have been able to sort it out for the most part.
The hero, fearing the day when Rocket might try to attain their own legendary Pokémon, funded the creation of a town on an island near Mossdeep. The town's name: New Leaf. New Leaf was a town of trainers, and children of trainers. Men, women, and children from all over the world travel to New Leaf to train under the tutelage of the Hero, the Champion, The Elite Four, and various Gym leaders from the region. However, children may not have Pokémon on the island, and there are no Pokémon who make the island their home. At 16, teenagers are given a choice of Pokémon from all regions, and of all types, to take as their first partner. The process of finding a partner normally takes weeks, as a trainer may not take a Pokémon, unless the Pokémon has chosen him or her first, and a bond has formed. For this purpose, teenagers spend days on end at the ranches, pools, and forests of the island, playing with the Pokémon who have been brought for them.
Perhaps the most interesting thing however, is the prevalence of talking Pokémon. Almost every Pokémon who lives on the island has gained the ability to speak, or communicate telepathically. Some say this is because of a Pokémon who slumbers deep beneath the island, though none know the truth, except perhaps the hero.
Our story however, begins on the sixteenth birthday of two teenagers. Today is the day where they begin to form bonds with the pokemon they wish... What will their story be? Only you can decide.....
A note. This is a mature RP for persons of the ages 18 or older. There may be many themes, including violence, death, assault, rape, sex, drinking, drugs, and whatever else pops into the story.
A second note. Because I like the idea, and it suits my own tastes, Pokémon have male or female genitals, and crossbreeding does happen between different Pokémon, and between Pokémon and humans. The race of the child is whatever race the mother is, whether that is Pokémon or human.
