They are born into it generally. They may change their loyalties if their current Court becomes too dangerous. Much like seeking Asylum, however they must have broken with the Court legally. They swear loyalty in exchange for the protection and partnership almost with the Court. If this is broken they may flee to another court. If illegally they will most likely be enthralled with their Name.

Yes, there are traders, smiths, weaves, farmers. There are other jobs that mesh with the species of the fae. Such as brownies that will clean a house, or some Fae that will mess with hair.

There are towns, though cities like we would think them are uncommon due to Fae living in tandem with nature. Some Fae have palaces and some don't. Falk has a complex hall, a palace in it's own right kind of.

No, the name you give me is the 'True Name'. Think Dresden Files. Your name consists of the letters/word and the cadence to how you speak it. Thus why it can only come from the mouth of the person it belongs to.

There isn't a religon, generally. They are FAE! They are gods in their own right! (They are vain little narcissistic things.) Though culture is more about how a group thinks and what they do and how they act. Ents think themselves above the rest, The Gremlins are iron workers who follow humans more closely. Hobo-goblins that clean houses are more subservient and family oriented. It just depends on the Fae type. Very similar yet different.
