Blood Type: AB. Birthday: February 9th Alignment: Lawful Neutral. Affiliation: ---------. Aliases/Titles: Loadout. Personality: Level-headed to an unnatural degree that does put some people off, it takes quite a bit to get any reaction from Jin. Then again when he risks his life just to make a buck and living, panic is hardly conducive to one’s continued health. To some this can make him appear cold and uncaring, but he’s not one to leave someone alone if there’s something he can do to help. At times like that his smiles are bright and expressions sincere; genuine emotions for genuine reactions. He never was too good at faking them anyways. Approachable to most, he places much more emphasis on one’s actions then their personality, and hardly cares for appearance. To that end he gives most people a chance, but does not forgive or give second chances easily. While not particularly vengeful and much preferring to simply not deal with those individuals again, if need be, Jin doesn’t feel any particular qualms about violence or death. He doesn’t resort to it casually, but at the same time won’t hesitate to if he feels it is warranted. It can actually be a bit hard to tell if Jin considers someone a friend outside of asking him directly or getting into trouble. There aren’t any real changes to his mannerisms and his reactions are as subtle as ever. Something small like a greeting from him can signify that he looked forward to meeting once more though; things that take a while to pick up on. Background: Jin doesn’t remember much before his first entry into the Crimson Sky, but does recall enough to know that it wasn’t a pleasant life he lived. Whatever his occupation was, it involved the dealing of death and thus he figured best to let sleeping dogs lay. A rare enough occurrence, but Jin managed to both enter and exit the Crimson Sky for the first time by his own actions. The moment where the world took on a different hue was brief, and he must have only spent a few minutes at most. Yet that was enough for him to reappear in the middle of nowhere with a power that made him slightly more than human. On the same night though, he would wander back into the strange world and encounter several youkai. A few he killed lest they devoured him, and another he parted with the Soul Stones for the gift of knowledge. Infused with a knowledge of the modern world, he once more managed to find his way back into his own. Yet while he knew of the world around him, Jin had no knowledge of who he had been aside from a few clues. Who did he used to know? What did he like to do? He knew what he was good at at the least, but that didn’t really give him any idea of what he wanted to do. Well, it would probably be easier to figure things out if he wasn’t in the middle of nowhere. From there he simply picked a destination, found his way back to the Crimson Sky, took down a few ferals, traded the stones in for some real world cash, got some fake documents, and hopped on board. Hasn’t quite found a reason to settle down just yet and it doesn’t look like he might anytime. Been on every continent, but there’s always new places and sights to see; always finds the same Youkai in the Crimson Sky though. Powers:
Patterns upon one’s very soul shine through, the mortal shell an anchor to the glory within. An overlay of the true spirit over one’s body, the image is beyond mere visual trickery. The body and soul separate, but capable of interacting with the world all the same. For Jin, this spirit takes the appearance of a fully armored Knight who initially bears no weapons. Allowing such an expression of his soul to exist allows for both existences to perform feats that would normally be impossible.

The ability to record equipment, and “equip” them to his body, enhancing it and granting Jin certain traits and/or characteristics. If there’s a limitation to how long he can store a “recording” or how many he can keep, then he hasn’t hit either yet. At the moment he can equip three pieces, gaining a trio of benefits. Regardless of what is equipped, the simple act of tapping into his power makes him capable of squaring off against lesser Youkai. For an unknown reason, his powers seem to require an activation phrase and will not work without vocalization. Also, when his powers are in effect, there is the visible of effect of turning his skin almost black and steely. If Spirit Overlay is in use, its appearance also changes to match the equipment used.

Melee Weapons: Increase physical strength, agility, and dexterity as a general rule. Changes his entire body to function similarly to the equipped weapon. A sword offers even boosts while his limbs gain the characteristics of cutting edges. Merely drawing his arm over a surface can let Jin cut into the material. A spear may offer a slightly lower boost to agility for greater dexterity and strength, and his fighting style incorporates jabs that can gouge holes in his enemies.
Firearms: These don’t offer any real capability increase, but do have some interesting effects. As a general characteristic, Jin seems to gain the ability to launch concussive blasts. The exact property of these blasts vary depending on the type of firearm he has equipped, but do seem a bit weaker and shorter ranged than the original weapons. What is useful is when he equips a firearm and melee weapon at the same time though; the concussive blasts turning inward and strengthening each blow he delivers in melee.
Armor: Confers a boost to durability and toughness. Fairly straight forward. A bulletproof vest seems to offer some sort of conceptual trait that automatically reduces the damage he would suffer from a projectile. Steel plate physically toughens his body until it is hard as steel yet just flexible.

Skills: He’s managed a living for several years as a bounty hunter of lesser and feral Youkai, so he’s a fairly competent combatant. While his powers limit him to mostly melees, Jin does have experience with firearms albeit he doesn’t remember exactly how he learned. While not very educated, Jin is surprisingly good with languages. Mandarin was what he always had, but English and Spanish came over the years of travel. Has an understanding of Japanese since he’s studied it a bit in preparation for his travels in the country, but still carries around a handbook just in case. Rather impressive mental and physical fortitude. Capable of functioning in conditions that would normally be crippling; things like several days without water or minimum rest aren’t quite enough to incapacitate him entirely. Weapons: Given his constant travels, doesn’t carry any since it would be far too much trouble to deal with at airports. Equipment: A small luggage case that holds all his worldly possessions. More money than one would expect. A metal bracelet on his left arm, used to contact a certain Youkai for transactions under the Crimson Sky.
