Oh yeah man. There is absolutely going to be a point where something like this happens:

Geoffrey gets a clean shot and shoots someone in the head. KoL has to find some way for a well aimed bullet to not destroy someone's skull and spine. I don't even think it is wrong, but I do not envy her. 

Though, it can get ridiculous, and I hope it never gets this far: I once played a steampunk game where I had a revolver, and it jammed/misfired four times within a week of posting [about two hours of game time], because no-one wanted their character to die.
