Was it possible that this was a trap, and that already, on the mere second floor, the monsters had gained a capacity for "patience"? If so, then- Oh, no, wait, something's happening. Never mind. From the center of the room where the vials stood, the gelantinous substance covering them seemed to melt outwards, expanding from the center to coat the floor. It seemed to be of the same green hue as the one that covered the vials, but...thinner, more diluted. Judging from the currently-expanding volume, it was reasonable to assume that there were multiple slimes present in this sprawl, but their cores weren't immediately visible. And the sprawl marched on. Efficient. Deadly. Really fucking slow.
