Okay but how are things done, we could literally have anything happen, and how will war work? There must be some kind of structure...

In October 1949, with the establishment of a fully Communist government under Bolesław Bierut in Poland, Rokossovsky, on Stalin's orders, became the Polish Minister of National Defense, with the additional title of Marshal of Poland. Together with Rokossovsky, several thousand Soviet officers were put in charge of almost all Polish military units, either as commanding officers or as their advisors.

Rokossosky is ducttaped to Moscow. He is loyal to Stalin, not to Warsaw. If you want to wrangle yourself away from me, take someone who may just be in with these things.

That is why I asked the GM who had him, they judged he was under Polish control. I said he took orders from Stalin even though he was Polish Marshal.

Almost anything can happen, the structure is making a good story. That was actually the only thing that made me stay as Poland. I did research and was not aware just how beaten down Poland was, it was so hard to find a half decent Pole with some spine left in him. Even then the state of the Polish state was so sad I was thinking of changing to Turkey, Yugoslavia, or Czechoslovakia where I might have at least some ability to RP anything but a Stalinist lackey.

Then I thought of how interesting this scenario would be, One night, a man hand picked by Stalin to lead the Polish military against the Nazis and in this AU version hand picked to lead Poland itself breaks the absolute Soviet control of Poland. He then offers to stay within the USSR sphere giving Stalin a choice. He can let it slide and potentially give other leaders precedent to gain greater autonomy or lash out against Poland which would certainly turn Poland to the US/UK and seek help from them while also putting East Germany in a precarious position of being almost cutoff by NATO forces if the US and UK intervened which is another tough choice for them. So now we suddenly have this fun "what if?" of WWIII looming depending on the actions of 2-3 people.

Would he have reacted any differently under your control than he did in my post? He did not say anything and the reason he was in his dress uniform was he is being shipped back to Moscow to report on what happened. He is Polish born and was known for his divided loyalties

Divided loyalties? He was more than critical in transforming Poland, and the army in particular, into a Stalinist puppet.

He was considered a Pole in Russia and was more of Zhukov's man than Stalin's

Saint, through Gunther's awesomeness I can report India's army stands at about 138,600 soldiers, 700 tanks and 2880 guns.

Omega, he was considered a Russian in Poland and did Stalin's will.

a much larger army than I have. Now, if the last of my three protectors would show up, I can advance.
Where is Lost Cause? He seems to know a great deal about the United Kingdom. He would be perfect for that job.

I will await a GM ruling as I disagree this is sikilar to taking ckntrol of.the chief.of polkce as he is Poljsh born, considered by Polish loyal by some, and was Marshal of Poland. Your claim could be used to take over evrryone in my military snd government.

I won't do that, but this man is a war hero, Stalin ordered his appointment, and he made the Polish Army loyal.

You know who doesn't care about Rokossovsky's ties to the USSR? NATO. If Poland were to, I don't know, ally themselves with the NATO countries, you could do what you wanted with him and we'd be cool with it.

Sure, let's fight WW3 over a bunch of rogue Poles.

Quite frankly, the timing of this is idiotic. Stalin is going to die in three years and I'll give everyone a considerably longer leash, but beelining out of the Warsaw Pact sphere in 1950 is just silly.

Poland does not plan to leave the Warsaw Pact and my entire government, including Berling are appointed by Stalin.
