Jack Ashbourne

Jack strode down the middle of the hall towards the student lounge. His long legs came to a stop in front of the closed door. He stared at the door. It was a nice door. Probably a very old door too. It certainly looked old. He wanted to kick it open. That would be pretty cool. Nobody could ever forget an entrance like that. Unless they had short-term memory loss. Then he supposed they could forget about an epic entrance. Although they may just make an exception for him and his entrance. He was special after all. While staring at the door, Jack was surprised when a short red-haired girl approached him from behind. "You just going to stare at the door? Found something more interesting than going in?" Recovering quickly Jack indignantly replied, "I was observing it. I thought I had, but, no, it turned out to be, uh... more door." She stared at him openly for a second. "It's just a door," she said flatly. "What the hell did you expect to find?" He shrugged still looking at the door, "Dunno. It is a nice door though." He opened the door and stepped back to allow her to pass through. She didn't. She stood there and kept looking at him. "I thought you wanted to go in." He glanced at her than at the door, "Are you staring at the door? Come now, 'it's just a door.'" Stepping forward into the room he glanced around at all the people. The girl followed him inside and began to mix with the crowd. She was certain of one thing, she would never forget that man, that was for sure.
