Caspar Deveraux

It had been a relatively nice day outside with the rays of the sun shining through the clouds and landing on the boy's ice cold skin. Caspar had been staring with a blank expression out of the window to his dorm room ever since he got his things unpacked, contemplating whether he made the correct decision to come to this institution. He knew it was for the best however he couldn't help but listen to that voice in the back of his mind telling him that maybe he should have stuck it out back at home and not run away like he did with most of his problems. That seemed to be the theme with the white haired male. When times got tough, he ran from it instead of facing it head on. Immediately he shook the thought from his head and gave a deep sigh that fogged the glass of the window a bit. Coming here wasn't a mistake, he finally thought to himself. He made the correct decision and was putting his trust to the people that worked here. He wanted to start fresh, make new friends, and hopefully come to terms with who he really is. It was one thing to being told you were a curse among society by being a mutant freak, but it was another to have these other feelings. Feelings that were said to be wrong according to his catholic school teachings. Since leaving the school, Caspar did everything he could to learn about these feelings online, but he still felt ashamed about himself. He still felt embarrassed. What made matters worse is that it was also the day he learned he was a mutant. He was a freak of nature in all aspects. The emotions he kept inside began to rush out of him. He started to hyperventilate for a few seconds before getting back into composure again. He opened his eyes and that familiar blank expression with abnormally bright blue eyes returned to his face. Caspar was good at hiding his emotions and he couldn't have these slip ups again. He glanced around his room and the thought of having that second bed there made him a bit worried. Right off the bat he was going to have to get to meet someone new and there was always that thought in the back of his head wondering of the guy was going to be cool or a straight up jerk. The pale skinned boy had worked on his social skills but he was bad at hiding the fact if he liked someone or not. Hopefully his roommate wouldn't cause trouble. Caspar walked to his bed and threw on his white jacket that complete his ensemble. Today he had been wearing all white; white shirt, white jacket, white skinny jeans, and white shoes. Hopefully he wouldn't be getting dirty anytime soon. The young man stuffed his hands into the pocket on his jacket and left his dorm room to mingle with the students in the lounge. Since he was trying to start over, it wouldn't help if he slipped back into his old ways of being a hermit and not wanting to be around people. Making his way to the lounge, a wave of anxiety hit him as it just occurred to him that all these kids were special just like him. Finally he was around people that shared something in common. Without breaking the blank stare on his face, he made his way to the water cooler. He began filling the paper cup with water before bringing the cold fluid to his mouth to drink.
