Eventually his eternity of the awkward silence ended with her responding to his, quite frankly, ridiculous amount of apologies, and before Nathan could react the beautiful girl in front of him had his hand in hers and was inspecting the wound that he had accidentally inflicted upon himself just moments before. "I'm Daniella by the way, but just call me Dani.", the girl said as he rubbed Aloe Vera on his bleeding hand; which stung a little but felt relieving at the same time. Dani's hands were surprisingly soft as she medicated his wound, and this was honestly the first time he had actually felt a woman's hand against his for this long. He really didn't know how to react to what was happening and as the raging storm that was his mind contemplated what to say to her she informed him to join her at the banquet along with his cousin and anyone else he might have met, and so he answered with instinct. "Sure, it's a date then."...He almost didn't even finish saying it, but unfortunately he did, and so with a nervous laugh and a scattered group of stutters and panic he tried desperately to fix what he had just done; though he knew there was no true way to take it back. "No...uh...well...you know. What I meant to say was I haven't met my roommate at all." As she spoke he knew his words weren't making any sense. "I mean...My name is Nathan. The greasy guy is my cousin Jason, and you're the only other person I've met here." He said, thankful that his words were becoming somewhat coherent. "I didn't mean a date date, I was kidding....I don't know...I'm sorry." A genuine smile crossed his face because he realized that he probably looked like such an idiot, and he was, but even he had to admit how ridiculous he was acting. "I'm not used to uh...new people. Thanks for helping me with my hand Dani." He looked up into her eyes again, this time holding what he perceived to be a normal amount of eye contact before letting out a slight nervous chuckle.
