But, like any good budding social person, the period of surprise vanished just as quickly as it had came, and he spun upon his heel to face the trio, now backpedaling and somehow managing to not trip over anything. A skill borne of practice, since as it turns out, once it becomes known that you've opened up in senior year after spending all of high school an enigma, people had a way of getting curious about you and asking things in [i]droves[/i]. [i]Seriously, I shouldn't have been [u]that[/u] much of an oddity...[/i] [b]"Yeah, and it was pretty crazy."[/b] he said with a weary laugh, blissfully unaware of how myopic his self-assessment of one year ago was.
