Honeypaw
Honeypaw looked sheepish at the warriors comments. All the apprentices pretty much learned how to scoop up moss fast, mostly because, as he had said, it was one of the least entertaining things they got to do. So they rushed through it just to get to the good stuff. Realizing that his frustration and outburst had distracted him from her question, the apprentice mrrowed with laughter and, after pulling her sheet of moss free, she turned to the warrior. "Here, let me remind you." She padded over and plopped down beside him. "You just have to make sure you're peeling it evenly or only a little bit will rip off." She showed him as she spoke, prodding along the edge of the moss on one side from top to bottom. "Now you can actually peel it off without it stripping," As she said so, she used both paws to peel of the scrap of moss. At one point, it had started to tear, so she stopped pulling and picked at the beginning of the piece that would have been torn off if she kept going. "If it starts to rip you just have to go back and pick at it some more." After a moment, the moss dropped, and the young she-cat habitually rolled it up into a log shape with her paws. "There! She sat back, purring slightly, pleased with herself. "That was a pretty good sized piece you picked out!" She didn't point out that some of it was a bit torn up, but she doubted the Queens would mind too much. She'd just tell them that piece was troublesome. "Maybe we can head back? I think we'll have enough for all three nests. Unless you'd like to bury some to make a second trip with." She walked back over to her own pile and curled her second piece of moss around the first. Now, as she tried to pick it up in her jaws, she had the right amount, because her whole field of vision had tilted upwards thanks to how much she had to open her mouth. She picked it up for a moment just to make sure she could see where she was walking.
