Shadowpaw
Shadowpaw's eyes flashed. Was Bravefeather serious about letting him hunt near the Snakerocks? Oh! Happy days! For once he can prove how great he is! "I definitely want to hunt some more, Bravefeather!" without another word, he buried his prey and bounded off toward the rock formation, eager for his next catch. He had never been this close to the Snakerocks before. Bravefeather always kept Shadowpaw away from danger. As he bounced over, he noticed Sandfire and Stonepaw were making their way back to the tree. He raised his tail in greeting, but said nothing. He didn't want to scare away his prey! A short distance from the boulders, Shadowpaw stopped and looked back to see if Bravefeather was following. There was no sense in getting to far ahead. When he saw his mentor, he turned around and entered hunting mode. He reminded himself to be careful of snakes. They were a lot faster than he was and accidentally stepping within reach would probably seal his fate. Snake food. Not a very heroic way to go. Yes, he would be careful. Quietly he stepped around the rocks, hoping to come across something that was equal to his squirrel. He wanted his mother to be proud of his skills. There wasn't a lot around, Stonepaw must have scared a lot of the prey back into their holes. Surely there was SOMETHING. Finally his eyes alighted in a pigeon. These things were good eating! Or so he heard. He himself didn't really enjoy cleaning feathers out of his teeth. Shadowpaw licked his nose and sunk to the ground. The bird was on the rocks above him. While it had the advantage of high ground, nothing was beyond the skills of the mighty Shadowpaw! As swiftly as he could go, he climbed the stones toward the pigeon. It proved to be a little too fast and he slid down the rocks when he stepped into loose gravel. He squirmed as he fell, only making his dissent worse. The bird flew away and he was left with a small gash down his left leg. Realizing this could have been much worse, Shadowpaw limped back to Bravefeather and began to lick his wound. So much for his awesome hunting skills.
Warmpaw
The relief on Warmpaw's face was evident when he heard Mallownose's voice. Now those rotten rogues would get what was coming to them! "Yes, Mallownose, I will go right away!" he remembered Silverstorm saying she was going to lead a patrol along the Shadowclan and Windclan borders. If she was leading a patrol, you could bet your fur Stormstrike would be with her. Even if he was the scariest cat in the clan, he knew he was just the cat to scare away these felines. He hoped they were close. Warmpaw took off, quick as a lightning flash toward the Shadowclan border. He tripped a few times on his way, those darn paws were such a hassle! After a few bumps and face plants, he found a large gathering of cats. Distracted, he took a moment to figure out what was going on. That cat over there was surely Redstar, Shadowclan leader. He seemed to be leaning on.. was that Crookedowl? Something was certainly not right, and there was Hawkstar! He suddenly became fearful of this scene. But that was for later, he had more important things to take care of. Shaking his head, Warmpaw ran over to Hawkstar. "Hawkstar! Hawkstar! We need help!" he stopped in front of his clan leader and looked up at him, "Two rogues have Mallownose, Sketch, and Coochie cornered! They were helping us collect herbs and then Mallownose left and then they showed up." the small tom suddenly became flustered, he didn't realise he said the loner and kittypets names until he stopped and he completely forgot about the Shadowclan leader behind him. "They were acting all friendly, told us their names.. Python and Birch. I didn't fall for it, but we have to hurry! Those two smell of cat death. They are cat killers!" Warmpaw gasped as he finally finished. His eyes were wide with fear and his body shook. Anything could happen to those three while he was gone, they had to hurry!
