'Mental diary entry #8767. Another quiet day in the library, I've began to grow bored of them somewhat, as much as I love the peace. Occasionally confusing people is still quite amusing, but it will not be a good source of entertainment forever, even though it feels like I've been here that long already... I am scared, somewhat. About going insane one day. That shouldn't happen though, as long as there is something decent to read, and people beyond my time to observe. Some of them are actually very interesting. Clark, for example, actually spent his time making sure books were in the correct sections today. I respect him for his efforts, even though others will probably ruin his hard work eventually by being lazy and not putting books back in their correct spaces. Keep up the good work, Clark. You are a true hero behind the curtains. One that will sadly never be appreciated by anyone around you.' It was easy to watch people when they couldn't see you. Matthew often took advantage of this, knowing the people more than they perhaps knew themselves, with no conversation being necessary. He stared from above, atop the shelves, until he could find something of interest. More often than not he found nobody doing anything interesting, not a whole lot of people stayed to read, they'd rather take the books home, and return them later. Matthew was a little saddened by this, but tried to never let it get to him too much. His thoughts wandered, as he looked around the library. There had to be somebody else of interest around. He began to wander, looking for something to do. He thought about maybe picking up a novel later and giving it a read. But what kind of novel? A mystery? Romance? So many choices, so many good books. He found it hard to decide. He'd save those thoughts for later, for now he wanted to observe the people, surely there was somebody that'd entertain him aside from Clark. Maybe if Clark was just here more often everything would be fine... Oh well, he'd make do.
