[/quote] I think the idea is that Michael represents all of humanity, and their most prominent trait is their wide range of professions. Michael might be the god you'd pray to for aid in war if you were a soldier, but he might also be someone you'd look to for spiritual guidance or the healing of a loved one, or for wealth and prosperity if you happened to be a merchant. The only common trait is that he is the 'human' god, the god of Humanity. I imagine him a bit like Talos from Elder Scrolls. And yeah, god worship fell apart in the last couple of RP's, they have next to no power now as the atheists, ahem, apotheoses have taken over, and yes it's not really necessary to be a devout follower of a god to join the resistance, they have committed a lot of wrongs that transcend spirituality.
