My opinion? The plot's thickening and no one's actively complaining (and this group has proven that when someone has a problem with something, they'll voice it). It seems like everyone's silence means that they're fine with what's going on, and unless GM has a problem with it, I wouldn't worry too much--I like where this is going, anyways.
