One thing that works really well (I think/hope) in my game next door, Wolf Manor, is that, particularly since the setting is so important over there, is that I post setting details for players to use and get to grips with in the character tab. If there's a new setting being explored for the first time, I tend to PM those details, along with any clues or anything (not sure if that's a thing so much in this), to the player I know will be exploring them.

I don't really have the time to make a post right now, but, if I did, I know I'd find location data really useful. :)
