Just be careful to find the style you like. I live in europe (sweden) and larps here tend to be very different fom usa larps as far as i've seen.
So just check out the details and ask people who play in your area.

At least here the larper community consists of super nice and fun people :D


In the worst case you could even arrange a larp yourself, doesn't need to be a huge deal with a hundred people. Can be a few people in a room as well.
Although the large ones are way cooler IMHO, but not necessarily better.
