Hmmm... Random suggestion! Out of that shortlist, the names that don't get chosen can still be reused for the names of countries, cities and/or deities, since it'd be a shame to just discard them afterwards. XD

So clearly the world is actually the remains of a dead god(well their physical form) who sacrificed themselves to protect the universe they had created.

@VitaVitaAR i got the idea because someone asked me to come up with a reason for why the dark elves where carnivorous so i came up with this god as an explanation for why. That this tribe of high elves pissed him off or maybe they lost a challenge (yeah lets go with that) so he changed them into the dark elves because they lost.

and later i came up with the idea to base this god on myself because i came up with the idea for the elves to be carnivorous. Also what i meant by the perverted is that he perverts aka corrupt ideas and thoughts

Shouldn't we figure out more about the elves first before deciding if groups of them exist only because of curses?

And again, um, basing the gods off of ourselves seems weird and out of place.

@VitaVitaAR I have to agree with Vita here, @Billsomething... Making ourselves into gods seems peculiar and unwelcome at best and egotistic and shallow at worst. This is a fantasy world of our creation. We don't intend to add any semblance to real people, places or things. The idea would be, if we turned this into a novel at some point (Something that Joe and I have talked about briefly) we wouldn't need a "This is a work of fiction. all resemblance to real people, places, or events is entirely coincidental" message, because there wouldn't be any semblance to draw from. It's an exercise in our imagination.
Also, I can see it turning into a fight of "who's godly persona is the most powerful" and REALLY, no one wants to have to deal with that. So I'd personally vote against ourselves being the gods.

Hmm, well if it's high fantasy technology shouldn't be too far... if there's anything more advanced it should be in smaller amounts. Though we should totally do airships.

Airships are cool.

As for magic, I'd suggest fairly high levels of it? Not everyone can do it but there's enough to make, like, mage colleges and stuff.

Eh, for a variety of reasons not exactly expecting the novel idea to go anywhere (not least because as this is a collaborative work, disagreements are bound to pop up) so yeah.

Also this basically. High magic is more fun to work with than low magic, and I can't say no to airships. XD

Also yeah, there should be gods, but not ones based on ourselves. For one thing, any god based on me would be so lazy she'd never really do anything. XD

Gods are fun.

Anything based off me and subject to influence by other people would make me deeply uncomfortable, so I'm also against that idea.

But, um, yeah, most advanced technology should be airships for sure, magic should be high enough levels for there to be colleges of magic, and...

For gods I have one planned tied to the original race idea I have. ^^;
