She was still a good distance away as the creature's shrill shriek pierced her ears causing her to slow right down as she brought her head lower to the ground and flattened her ears back against her skull. Touche...that roar was ten times more scary than mine!...and more painful Niz's thoughts were scattered at the best of times... The panther shapeshifter released a sharp growl as it managed to strike Elize before escaping with little more than a bald patch as the lycan snapped her powerful jaws at it. As the creature jumped into the air Niz reared up on her back legs and treated the creature to another sharp roar, before she leant back on her hind quarters ready to launch herself at it. Though she changed her tactics as it swooped down at her, reaching out with a razor sharp beak that bit into the panthers right shoulder before it was batted away with a paw. As the creature turned away from Nizhoni, Niall launched himself at it, weighing it down and forcing it to turn its side on Niz, clipping her head with its wing as it thrashed around beneath the large were. Ha! You think that hurts? Trying living with two older brothers! Nizhoni felt the side of her mouth pull up as she ducked under the bird beast's flailing wing, with the intention of sinking her talon like fangs into the wing joint hoping to do some damage. However the panther was blissfully unaware of what her comrades were up to and didn't think to check if she was in their way, which meant if Hadrian's arrow did connect with the base of the beasts wing it skimmed Niz's head as it did, if it connected with the beast's neck it merely gave the panther shapeshifter a mini heart attack. That was close...really close, you have really got to work on your teamwork Nizhoni! Without sparing a glance back, Nizhoni decided she needed to change her tactics...somehow, she saw Fer charge at the beast's back but before she could see whether he'd done any damage the creatures massive wing swung at her knocking her clean off of her feet and sending her rolling a few feet back. By the time Nizhoni had recovered Fer was on the ground with a slash to the chest and Hui-fang was moving in on creature. With the heavy scent of Fer's blood mixing with the creatures in the air, a new sense of urgency came over Niz as she scrabbled to her feet. Just as Fer lashed out to sever the creatures tail and pull its attention away from the others, the panther shapeshifter skidded to a halt beside him effortlessly shifting into her secondary form she positioned herself between the wounded man and the beast with a low growl prepared to keep the thing from taking anymore chunks out of Fer Tanking time, bring it on big guy...or girl...or both?
Hui-fang ducked into a crouch as the creature splayed its wings and shrieked, with a hiss she instinctively covered her ears but kept her eyes on the beast. Watching as it rose off of the ground before striking out at Elize with impressive speed, there was little Hui-fang could have done to protect the other female from the beasts talons though she had every intention of making the beast pay for it. As soon as Niall shifted, Hui-fang felt a tremble run the length of her spine and it took all of her will power to remain human. She dove to the side rolling across the grass as the large male landed on top of the creature and weighted it down, coming to rest at a safe distance in front of the squawking creature Hui-fang finally shifted into her lupine form. Pressing her cream belly against the floor she carefully edged her way forward through the grass, remaining as small and insignificant as she could, her ears flickered as an arrow whizzed through the air before embedding itself in the creatures flesh. She'd seen how fast this thing could move and what she was planning on doing was risky, it had to be timed perfectly. Her calm yellow eyes tracked Fer's movement through the thrashing of legs, wings, fur and feathers, hoping that the warlock would be able to do enough damage behind the creature to divert its attention just long enough...if not Nizhoni was becoming a difficult opponent to ignore. Knowing she couldn't delay any longer Hui-fang crawled closer to the creature still so she was only just out of its reach as it thrashed around and waited for the creature to lift its head. As soon as it did whether it was only slight or not, Hui-fang suddenly launched herself at it with an open mouth aiming to lock her jaws as well as herself around the underside of its throat. A risky move but worth the price, providing she managed to get a hold of the creature and not just a mouthful of feathery hair she applied a hefty amount of pressure to the creatures windpipes and hoped one of her sharp fangs had hit a vessel.
