Theoretically, when he teleports, he falls the distance he travels and thus porting long distance can put as much strain on his body as falling a long distance, though the fact that he is not falling into the ground helps, negating about 75% of the damage he would otherwise sustain. So the distance he can port is a limiting factor, another factor is that he must be ready within an instant to react to arriving at his location, so for longer ports he has to steady himself or he could get hurt and for combats he needs to react fast to the enemy; also, when porting he must have direct line of sight to where he is going. Weapons: His fists. Bio: Ever since Ed was little, there always seemed to be something off about him, he was like a puddle of nitro, he looked like water, like anyone else, but for some reason one could see the volatility of his nature. Something about him just wasn't right. Eddy's however was a quantum physicist and he knew exactly what wasn't right, he felt the electricity in the air, the charged aura of his son when he first picked up the new born, he knew there was something extraordinary about him and on Ed's first birthday, he found out. Every time his father left Ed's room, he'd return to find him outside of his cot, though usually he'd hear a loud cry first before rushing up. As a single father, Ed's dad didn't have much time to look after the child, so being distracted by his baby every few minutes was putting a strain on him that he didn't need. So one night, on the eve before Eddy's first birthday, his father had just about enough of coming back every few minutes to put him back in the cot, so when he did, he didn't go back down to his office but stayed in the hallway, peaking through the creak in the door. He thought the cot was just broken and seeing his son get out would help him fix it but he wasn't ready for what he saw. His son disappeared, in a small, bright-blue puff of wisps and reappeared on the floor, said wisps appearing out of nowhere and instantly condensing into the small child. From that day on, Ed's father took more interest in his baby then he otherwise would have if he were normal; upon reaching the age of six the teleportations started taking place at will, whenever Ed wanted them to happen, though his father quickly learned of the drawbacks of this phenomenal power, every time he ported he fell horizontally into the air, injuring Ed slightly. Training soon countered this, learning to be flexible before porting and acting as fluid as the wisps. Throughout this time, until he was about seventeen, Ed had had very little contact with the outside world, his father wouldn't let him go to school out of fear of being taken from him for his abilities, so he didn't really progress mentally and still has a very playful, almost childish nature around him. When he became thirteen, after years of training, his father finally put him to the test, prior to then Ed never ported more then 60ft without falling flat on his face. They went into their back yard, though it was more like rolling meadows around the house, and his father asked him to port all the way to the horizon, he could theoretically do it, there was a clean line of sight and it seemed like it could be doable. It wasn't, upon landing on the other side, the gathered force was too strong for him to cope and he broke both of his legs. His father rushed him to the hospital and after that day he never saw his son again, he was taken from the ER in the middle of the night, to Miss Dawson's. Dreams/Wishes: To jump from the top of the atmosphere and land safely. Evil/Good/Walking the line: Good Siblings: None Pets: A small ferret by the name of Roger. [/center]
