The change is gradual in most cases, with only the weakest willed people breaking right then. The pheremones only really work when the victim is nearby and in the same environment. The effect can linger, but it becomes weaker and weaker. Prolonged exposure can leave permanent changes.[/INDENT]

To cope, he began to obsess over "worthiness", and turned to the medieval "great chain of being". He considers aces to be "superior", the only ones worthy of holding great ranks.
