Problem. The Venator is less than half the size of most other carriers, but somehow carries more starfighters than most of them (200 for it versus the 144 of the Secutor Star Destroyer, twice as large or three times as large if one counts width and described as being more dedicated to starfighter carriage), AND it somehow retains more heavy weapons by mass than anything other than the Imperial I and II class Star Destroyers. It outperforms every listed carrier by far, both in terms of armament and in terms of carrier capacity. It can't be rated as a proper Star Destroyer though, since it's far too small. The Venator is, at the risk of starting fires, something of a game breaker.

After consultation, [@Terminal] and I both feel that 90 or so craft, maybe something up to 114 for TIE's and smaller craft, would be the complement of the Venators. We both think that even at 5 points a pop, they're too damn powerful without a retcon to bring it back to sanity, given the size and relative power of the vessels. This is up to you, [@Sini] but we're both on the same page with that.
Thanks for pointing this out. With its 1,137 meters, it falls well within the SD-size bracket (Ships of roughly 1000 - 2000 meters length), so I have reclassified it accordingly. Some pages on the wiki had conflicting labels on it, hence my mistake. The way I explained the ability to field all those smaller craft, would be to swith out all weapons in favour of docking space. The alternative that you two propose would bring it more towards the carrying capacity of an Imperial I SD, its successor. I believe that to be reasonable. 90 smaller ships per Venator seems a proper balancing decision, so let's go with that.
[@Sini] hope you don't mind but as warship classifications have changed in the Imperial times that's my list. I was working with the C170 retrofit being more of a corvette than a frigate which is what the Republic classified it as.
Adhering to the Anaxes War College system, classing ships per their length, that'd be right.
Well we were gonna be Imperials. I also feel that due to the system having at least two rebel bases , Bespin and Both that it'd be imperial due to them wanting to keep a tight grip in rebel ares under supervision of a Grand Moff it's also the most populous in the area.
Mhm, be advised though that as Imperial rule is collapsing, you guys risk being isolated in the Outer Rim. No reinforcements will be coming other than those you can get for yourself. The Rebel Alliance has just won a major victory, and a lot of their soon to be consolidated holdings are in the Outer Rim (along the Sanctuary Pipeline) and the southern reaches of the Hydian Way, Corellian Trade Spine and the Corellian Run. Basically you're about to set up shop in a wasp's nest of 'filthy Rebel scum'. :P Endor isn't that far away from Yavin, so that would prove interesting. I do not want to convince you to take a different starting spot, but just want to point out that what might concern you.
