Karen nodded, a bit put-off with herself; here she was trying to maintain a look of grace, and she'd forgotten the most basic principle when meeting new people: introducing herself! [color=92278f][i]"Stupid, stupid! What kind of impression is that? What's the point of being elegant if you come off as rude instead? Stupid!"[/i][/color] she raged internally. That she could allow such an oversight of manners was appalling to the utmost to her. Her head reeled at the thought. 

Giving an inaudible sigh of exasperation under her breath, Karen smiled at the two, trying to cover up her inner frustration. It worked for the most part, with no indication other than the tight gripping of her hands.

I'm Karen Diana Irving McGraves, but you can call me Karen, and this,"[/color] Karen picked up the big ball of white fur that was Elijah. The cat had a sour look on its face as she placed him on her lap for Mitzy and Lavender to see, and let its displeasure be known by shooting a look at Karen, [color=92278f]"is Elijah. Don't give me that look, have some manners."[/color]

Elijah flicked his tail in response. Karen frowned.
