@PaulHaynek Sub-Zero is accepted. And generally players get two characters each in this game if they can think up the second, not counting mooks and NPCs.

*Name: Fawful

*Universe: Super Mario Bros.

*Appearance:

*Personality: Fawful is a loony, severely narcissistic egomaniac with a particular genius for engineering and brainwashing, a tenuous grasp on the syntax of the English language, a lust for world domination, and a huge chip on his frankly nonexistant shoulder.

*Powers/Skills: Fawful's main skill is his mechanical genius - he was able to build a functioning robot out of junk. Power-wise, he has a hidden antenna on his head that can shoot laser bolts.

*Brief Bio: Formerly the right-hand bean to the evil witch Cackletta, Fawful struck out on his own after realizing that he was doing all the work while she was getting all the glory (Her defeat may have contributed to this decision as well.) He hatched a brilliant if slightly convoluted plot to take over both the Mushroom Kingdom and the Koopa Troop - which worked - then to steal the power of the legendary Dark Star - which did not. After his defeat, mutation, and another defeat, he exploded himself in an attempt to take out Bowser and the Mario Bros. with him. This also did not work. next thing he knows, he wakes up in this city of strangeness.

*Equipment:
Vacuum Helmet: Also simply called "headgear," this is an odd helmet capable of flight, shooting energy blasts, and sucking up things for storage.
Multi-purpose Ray Gun: A weapon/tool capable of firing lasers, with alternate settings such as an extractor beam and a minion powerup function (currently disabled)
Flying Platform: Useful to get around when you have tiny legs and no endurance
Jumpsuit: In addition to being very comfortable and looking suitably dashing, it also allows him to fly for a limited time by flapping his arms, though this function is only used if both the vacuum helmet and the platform are disabled.
Cape: Extremely stylish by default, Fawful's signature red cape can be transformed into several other disguises.
Swirly Glasses: In addition to correcting one of Fawful's only flaws - terrible eyesight - these glasses also give him some power of hypnosis. While the effect is not as complete as it would be with his Brainwashrooms (which I made up because the game never explains how he does his brainwashing), they can help to push someone's mind in the right direction. (obviously this would only be successful on PCs if discussed beforehand)

*Others: Fawful has an odd version of a napoleon complex - he's not too short, everybody else is just pointlessly tall.

@Sir Screwloose Accepted!

@Shoryu Twilight and Venom Snake is accepted.

@Billsomething Faust is accepted.

Hm, yeah. Going to give heroes and villains their very own home bases and territories. Will need snappy names for that though so suggestions are welcome.

Also the game shall commence sometime tomorrow. Glad to have everyone aboard!~

Character number 2 - just for fun. Hopefully the picture link works this time.

Name: Zhai

Universe: Forgotten Realms (Demon Stone computer game)

Appearance:

Personality: Zhai is adventurous, impetuous and opportunistic; she delights in using her talents. Never able to feel comfortable in the wood elf village she was raised in, she took to adventuring like a duck to water. She has a keen sense of curiosity and a gleefully mischievous sense of humour, frequently appearing as sarcasm. When confronted with something dangerous she can be cold-blooded and merciless.

Powers/Skills: Incredibly agile; can perform any kind of jumps, backflips, somersaults you care to mention.
Can hide in the smallest patch of shadow.
Has other thief skills – picking locks, climbing, etc.
Skilled knife thrower.
Capable with her main weapons - a pair of large curved daggers.

Brief Bio: A half drow/half wood elf, Zhai grew up in the wood elf village of Cedarleaf but was unable to feel she ever fit in, particularly as she was teased mercilessly by the other children due to her half-drow heritage. When her parents were killed in a raid on the village she left and learned the skills of a rogue. Was briefly captured by orcs raiding a town before being rescued by the human fighter Rannek.

Equipment: Two large curved daggers worn sheathed across her back.
A whole load of throwing knives – at least a dozen.
A ‘ring of jumping’ that augments her already considerable thief skills by enabling her to jump higher and farther than she could previously.
Basic stuff like lock picks.

Other: Nope; nothing.

@Billsomething Faust is accepted.

This isn't my place, but:

*Powers/Skills: Teleportation, space-time manipulation, summons, shape-shifting, contortion

This worries me just a touch.

That aside, perhaps for the heroes, "The Coalition," and for the villains, "The Consortium." Both start with the letter C for added alliterative appeal.

Especially when other space/time manipulators in the thread have been hit by the nerf hammer, it is probably a good idea to look at it more closely (@Grey Star).

DIO has not been nerfed, he's got a legitimate reason for not using the incredible powers he has.

He's also going to be about as interested in the villains as he is with the heroes, which is not much. To him, his is the only side that matters, and his motives the only ones worth pursuing.

I'm almost certainly going to make a second character, one with a more dedicated side.

This is just me offering my 2-cents because I've also always loved playing as faust XD

Faust never seemed too bad in a game... Granted, some limits are probably still needed to be imposed, 'most' of what he does seemed fine... Except for the apparent materialization of a nuclear explosive XD

For those who don't know youtube.com/watch?v=PhzfURLVTik this is an example of stuff he does... I can see how it has the potential to be OP, but it's not too hard to tweak I think.

Faust is also gloriously tall, like freaking huge, and I swear a certain something that is very pink could be very similar to him XD

Reimu is pretty much either going to laze around in an unmotivated manner, or go around fighting everybody until she finds a way home. I figure she'll find some place away from everybody to hang out, if it's the former.

EDIT: Are those black holes I see? @Shoryu

Since they do no damage I figured they were, like, intangible minor gravity wells, pull but not enough to demolish things.

but black hole works too XD

@Shoryu Also, it bothers me how a lot of Twilight's spells can be used on others and basically qualify as one-hit kills, with no apparent limitations. And at least one qualifies as reality-warping, which goes against the rules of the thread.

Hence, the addition of the bit about seemingly powerful spells failing and back-firing on a regular basis, as well as some clarifications like the transmogrification probably not working since she'll be pretty unfamiliar with most creatures involve in the RP XD

Basically, anything powerful I might, 'might', use a randomizer to implement a 'chance' of success... Or, more likely, I'll just leave it up to GM/target player discretion if they're ever successful.

There's a distinct issue in balancing comedy and cartoon characters against more serious characters (which typically are designed with both the capability of winning and losing a fight in mind).

I know GS approved it, but as co-GM there's some concerns I have to bring up about Twilight, @shoryu.

This is mostly directed at, from a quick scan of her spells after reading the recent posts, the Transmorgification and Stasis spells, though I'll look over again and see if there's anything else I'm worried about.

There doesn't seem to be any way to avoid those, and I'm in general pretty strongly against any spells that force transformations on other characters.

@ToadRopes Marioverse represent!

@Dead Cruiser Shouldn't be too much of an issue as long as - as Shoryu's suggesting - permission is obtained from the gm and/or the other player before shenanigans are enacted.

For Twilight in particular, if it's that much of a problem you could handwave in something about magic not working the same here as in her homeworld.
