--- Schools of Magic: Elemental Magic - This type of magic is essentially bending one or more of the elements to one's will. This is relatively easy to learn if one is well in-tune with one's emotions. Dark Magic - This is a forbidden type of ultra-strong magic that involves living sacrifice and is quite taboo. Warm Magic - This is the school that teaches healing magic, prophetic magic, and other sorts of holy magics. Changing Magic - A magic that is most easy for adaptable magi to learn, this involves changing form. Some magi can change into any form, some into a few, and some into only one. Evocation Magic - This school focuses on the creation of new things, like bending energy to create arrows for battle. This can be a second step of the elemental magi's education to further their skill, as the two are very much related. Charm Magic - A magic that involves changing the perception of others around oneself, this school focuses on illusion magic, seduction magic, and other such things that involve altering perception. Psionic Magic - This school involves changing the form of magical energies around oneself. Also known as Alteration or Ki magic, this magic focuses on the inward energies of a person's body rather than the external energies used for all other forms. It can be used to create powerful defenses by toughening the skin or can be used in conjunction with outward energies to morph the form of other objects. This school requires the most discipline and is studied mostly by monks. --- Province Alignments Balefall- Pro Magic Northboro - Neutral Vardendale - Pro Magic Morcrest - Anti Magic The Barren - Unknown --- Rules: * Typical RP rules, no godmoding, powerplaying, auto-hitting, etc. * Not all races are playable, most should be self explanatory to that degree, if you're not sure feel free to ask (I won't bite...hard). * If you have an idea for lore, a creature or a place on the map feel free to pitch your idea to me either via PM or the OOC, if I like it or if it receives good responses in the OOC I'll gladly make it canon. * Certain races are "immortal" meaning they can't die by natural means (think of Tolkiens elves, they didn't age past a certain point). If you want to use them in a later generation feel free but not every generation unless they play a major role in the Order. * Be courteous to the other roleplayers. * When I originally brought Legend to RPG I had it in the casual section, in order to keep the roleplay moving at a manageable pace that will keep people interested I ask that you try and post between 1 and 2 paragraphs as much as you can. However I understand that it can get difficult in drawn out monologues and conversations, so I won't strictly enforce this but for the sake of others please do the best you can. * Grammar is essential to understanding within a language. Please do your best when writing your posts to use proper grammar, if it's too bad (almost to the point of illegibility) I will address this with you in private. * Given the rare nature of Dragons I am only going to allow 2-3 per generation until such time where they are more common (if, and I stress if, that happens). * Activity is important to keep the thread alive, please don't make me go through watching this die again! With somber joke aside I will ask that you try to be as active as possible. Let us know in advance if you'll be unavailable just as a courtesy (no penalty if you don't). I ask that you post as often as you are able during the week. * Have fun. I'm not a strict GM (I was serious, mostly, when I said I don't bite), I want to enjoy this as much as I want you to enjoy it.
