About Gary Stus - Kvothe is okay in writing, but I can see the issue unless it is pre established that your character is somehow a demigod.
Unless it fits the parameters of the game(if based around Demigods as a whole or say a Thor-like Character), this should never happen.
I do this all the time. It really has something to do with wanting to do some parts of your character, and then going "meh" at the rest. Though, I, sometimes, tend to regain interest later, and finish the character.
It's the fucking worst, especially when you know you have a badass concept. Like for me, my character was the result of an experiment gone wrong. He used a variation of Heat Manipulation, but only applied it to water(like from his body). His entire body would abnormally heat up each time, say he got a suit that helped him contain it and would be able to siphon out the bad for the good. Thing is, he has to keep it on at all times or he runs the risk of getting his internal body heat to such a degree that it rises to dangerous levels, like over 150 degrees F. The thing for me, I was totally behind it, but one day(yesterday), I just looked at the word document I had him in and just was like "fuck this." It's going to be like you said and sometime later, I'll go back and finish him. But, as the popular saying goes: "But it is not this day."
