On topic, I hate people who play characters with eidetic memories and then forget to have their characters remember everything about some markedly important picture or page in a book. Likewise, I hate people playing characters who are "geniuses" in their respective fields, but then don't do sufficient research to sell the whole "I'm a genius in astrophysics/biomechanical engineering/etc." image. I'm certainly not saying they need to become actual geniuses in those fields, but when a "genius astrophysicist" can't explain classical physics in-character (even if it's BS), the illusion kind of breaks down for everyone.
