As always with these things, I'll err on the side of not putting anything to paper that'll contradict that and let whoever might want to play Alan or a related player explain it further down the line.

It's important though that we don't set [i]too much[/i] of a precedent of existing characters being restrained by characters that don't already exist within the game because, though it's not an issue on this occasion, I could see that becoming a point of contention at some point.
