A group of villains have raided the many worlds of the multiverse and captured a number of superhumans, both heroes and other villains, taking them back to their base to drain them of their powers and add them to their own. The sidekicks (or apprentices) of these captured supers have joined forces and travelled to this base to recover their captured mentors and restore their powers before these uber-villains conquer their homeworlds. Can the young budding heroes/villains survive, or will their temporary alliance be destroyed before they can take on these villains? Players take on the roles of the sidekicks and/or the uber-villains. Sidekicks and villains can be fandom characters, original sidekicks/enemies of pre-existing characters (you want to play the Joker’s fictional sidekick, the Punster? No problem) or totally original characters. Characters can be from any sort of fictional background – traditional superhero, fantasy, horror, whatever you can think of (no reason why Merlin or Van Helsing shouldn’t have a sidekick).
After their raid across the multiverse the villains have retreated to a castle/mansion in a dark fold of time and space to siphon the powers from their prisoners.

Basic rules regarding behaviour apply – insulting characters is fine, but not players. If you’re interacting with someone else, please wait for them to respond before moving on. Ditto the guild rules about anything sexual – fade to black or PM if necessary. I personally have no problem with violence or bad language, but bear in mind other people can see this, so please don’t go too far. There are no character limits – I trust you to know how many you can handle.

Sidekicks: Of any alignment, hero or villain. They can be from any background, only two rules to them: 1/ They should be able to communicate with the other characters (so no Krypto the Superdog, unless he develops the ability to speak) Non-verbal telepathic communication is fine. 2/ They should be weaker than the hero/villain boss they’re trying to rescue. For example, fictional hero Ghostman has the ability to become intangible and pass through any barrier, and his martial arts skills mean he can kick villain butt when he become tangible again. His sidekick is his daughter and apprentice hero, GhostGirl. GG has the same abilities to pass through solid walls as her dad, but has to spend about 30 seconds concentrating really hard to use it, which means if she tries to go intangible while being chased by villains she’s going to slam into a wall, and her martial arts abilities are equivalent to a taekwondo green belt – so she should do well enough against untrained thugs, but is no match for an expert. Villains: the villains are super-powerful; as well as their own abilities, they also have the additional abilities of whatever super they have drained – as an additional twist, they may also have accidentally picked up any weakness the super had. If the super had no traditional powers, instead relying on fighting skills or whatever, the villain has instead picked up a basic understanding of the super’s abilities, so could for example use a sword or bow, perform martial arts or whatever. The only limitation they’d have is their understanding would be pretty much by rote – they could run through a standard martial arts routine, but improvising would be very hard for them. As an addition, I thought it might be fun rather than just giving the villains extra powers to see what powers have been acquired from kidnapped supers and then deciding who gets what, but if you really want your villain to acquire powers from a particular super, then by all means take them.

Fields marked (*) are optional Sidekicks - Name: Description: Fandom (if applicable): Personality: (*) Alignment (Hero/villain): Powers/Abilities: (including any items they use): Mentor name & abilities: Backstory: (*) Anything else: Villains – Name: Description: Fandom (if applicable): Personality: (*) Original powers/abilities: Stolen abilities: Backstory: (*) Anything else:
Two last points: 1 – to restore their mentor’s powers, the villains are going to have to be kept alive. If a villain’s killed before the powers can be restored, then the hero's not getting them back. 2 – there’s no reason why villainous sidekicks shouldn’t try to betray or leave the others if necessary. Villainous sidekick Ninja-boy might work with the others to recover his mentor Ninja-master, but is he going to want his master’s arch-enemy, Super Samurai, restored? If your character might double-cross the others, can you please PM me in advance.
