The Caidic people are the original inhabitants of the Cartic peninsula and the dominant culture of the Hegemony. Caidic superiority is a widely-held belief among the populace.
-[i]Llaidin[/i]
Llaidithic people originally inhabited parts of mainland on the coast of the Vilinstin Sea. Early Caidic nations pacified Llaidithic tribes and the people were integrated over the centuries. The cultures have more-or-less blended, but there is still significant tension.
-Other native groups exist in the various places where the Hegemony has spread, all are either extorted or opposed.

Mynish beliefs have arisen within the last 100 years, it is a more liberal interpretation of Amaranthism. However, the movement has met government resistance and has been since fracturing.

Summery: The Rethans are the ruling family of Caidia since the Early Dawn Period, they exercise absolute rule. Local lords and noble families have been historically in control, but a recent law put representatives of the working class in the Emperor's Council. Caidia has historically participated in local conflicts and wars, but it varies significantly over the years. A recent policy of imperialism has swept up Caidian politics, and has driven an industrial revolution and an expansionist movement.

Summery:
The Cartic Peninsula, combined with a strong navy and a seafaring culture, gives Caidia significant control over the Vilinstin and Octovian seas. This has made the Hegemony a major player in regional and worldwide trade. Individual companies hold the majority of power in the economy, but almost all have ties to the Emperor or tribute a percent of profits to the royal family. Corruption is common, but fair trade does exist.

Mostly restricted to defense of coasts and island colonies, serves doubly as a marine force.
--Navy (Royal Caidian Imperial Navy): 280,000 Strong (during peace time)
The pride of Caidia, the Royal army is one of the strongest in Atlius and maintains a strong control over the seas through use of modernized ships, an efficient command structure, and effective utilization of privateers.
--People's Guard: 700,000 Strong
The People's Guard is the Caidian force responsible for basic police activities as well as city defense. The People's Guard also provides the base for a Caidian militia during times of war.
--Iron Guard: 527 Strong
The personal guard of the Rethan Family and other Imperial officials, sometimes involved in special operations, headquartered at the imperial complex.
--Cysgard: [i]Unknown[/i]
The Cysgard is composed of multiple rings, of which little is known. 
The first few rings involve privateer contracts, espionage, and saboteurs.
Other known rings include a secret police and an extensive research and development organization.
Rumors also about of other, deeper rings of the Cysgard.
