It always begins with a Robin, and this is no different. Robin was the first teenager to become a hero, partnered with the mysterious Batman no less. There was no doubt a time would come when the bird would grow older and fly off on his own path. Which led a young Richard Grayson into forming a support group not just for himself but other teen heroes. As Robin the only traveling Grayson knew had been with Batman, so he used social media and an untraceable laptop to recruit several teen heroes [most of them with metahuman abilities] from around his region into joining his group. However their first meeting was discovered by the Calculator and intercepted by mercenary villains. Deadshot and Multiplex made an example of the one trained teenage hero at the location, Robin, and they beat him to death after he took a crippling gunshot to the knee. When Batman showed it was too late, and the few young wannabe heroes who tried to help were only tossed aside by the Multiplex duplicates. Batman told the young rookie heroes to go home and burn their suits. Gotham was no place for them and they had no business trying to be heroes. That was when Robert, a native of Metropolis spoke up. "If we have no business trying to be heroes then you had no business trying to train yourself a sidekick. We have powers at least, which is more than Robin had, we just have nowhere to train..."

When Batman disappeared into the night with the body of Robin the young aspiring heroes thought that it would be the last time they ever saw Batman. The heroes who had answered Robin's call in Gotham were the first to be notified. The others from neighboring major cities like Midway, Bludhaven, and Metropolis were just as surprised at the news. "Meet me at this location, midnight." The young heroes were shocked to find Batman as well as another hero, Wildcat, standing in an alley behind Grant Gym. The group followed the two heroes to an entrance below the Gym where an HQ had been set up. Darker more stealthy uniforms were also provided.

______________________________________________________________________

This is basically an alt. universe where Batman brings about the Titans in Gotham in memory of his first [and only] sidekick. It's loosely based on a character I'd made for DCU Online called Bolt who was basically a Caucasian Static who led a similar team. You can make an original, or remake an existing character in some form or fashion, but know the majority of Titans history password is 'Gnarkk' save for a few enemies will be left out. Presumably no other teen heroes really exist in this DCU.

Titans Titanpad

You can go ahead and post WIP 'sheets here and approved player's can repost finished/accepted sheets in the character tab. Character Sheets must include but are not limited to:

Secret ID:
Alias:
Age: [15-19]
Home Location: [your options include Gotham, Midway City, Metropolis, and Bludhaven]
Powers:
Weaknesses:
Equipment: [best believe Batman is gonna have a few of us with utility belts, pockets, and pouches]
Appearance: [remember Batman is providing darker duds for us all]
Personality:
Password: [did you pay attention to the OP?]
BRIEF Bio: [this shouldn't be a problem as none of us are really trained or have more than a few weeks experience]
Notes: [anything else you need to add?]
Sample Post: [Make this what happened the night Robin was beaten to death, no less than 1 or 2 paragraphs with inner-dialog!] <<< When I get my sheet up you guys will have a little dialog to work with...

I'll go ahead and say anybody who's character had extensive training beforehand will need to be reworked. We're ALL gonna be rookies. Robin was beaten to death in front of us and only Deadshot and Multiplex were involved. One guy has no powers... just guns and ammo, and the other guy just becomes a bunch of guys [with heightened strength but still...]. And we COULDN'T stop them.

I need about 6-9 players to get this thing going. Who wants to go vigilante on some Arkham regulars?!?

Secret ID: Archer Graham

Alias: Zero

Age: 18

Home Location: Gotham

Powers: A textbook Cryomancer, Archer can "create" objects made of ice by lowering the temperature around him and using moisture in the air as his main source of ice. His ice-powers could very well run deeper than that, but if it does he has yet to discover it, having only just now began to get the hang of creating ice objects. The objects he creates are, more often than not, simple blunt weapons like bats and hammers, or basic stabbing weapons like knives and javelins. His cryomancy allows him near immunity to cold weather and other extreme cold temperatures, as well, meaning he could go on missions to the South Pole with no need to dress more warmly.

Weaknesses: His ice is almost exclusively reliant on some form of water source to work with. He can usually get by using moisture in the air, but should he find himself in, say, a burning building, then the lack of water in the air can handicap him unless he happens to have a jug of water to work with. He's also found that his powers work best so long as he remains well-hydrated, as a lack of hydration can weaken the amount of ice he can manipulate. Just as he is nearly immune to cold temperatures, the inverse is true of hot temperatures, though not to same extremes as the likes of Mister Freeze, since Archer can at least go out in warm weather with no threat to his life. Extremely hot environments, such as scorching deserts or a volcanic mountain on the other hand can leave him powerless to do anything until he is moved to a cooler location.

Equipment: Apart from the standard stuff, Batman has made sure that the material of Archer's suit has as much heat resistance as possible. It doesn't completely alleviate the problem with hot environments, but it certainly provides a considerable buffer between the heat and Archer's body.

There's not one in the image but he also wears a black/blue mask that's like Firestorm's.

Personality: Archer is, for the most part, a good enough kid. If he sees a mugging on the street or even bullying at school, he won't hesitate to take it upon himself to stop said activity. After getting his powers, he's become even more brazen with these acts, becoming almost cocky. Lately, since Robin's death, Archer has begun second guessing himself more often, his previous confidence shattered by the death of his team leader. Regardless, he's determined to pick up the pieces and start over again, if for nothing else than for the memory of Robin.

Password: Titan

BRIEF Bio: Born in Gotham City, Archer used to be more timid when he smaller. The general danger of living in Gothom City can do that to a kid. Of course, Batman has since made the city much safer than it used to be. Batman's crusade against crime was inspirational, but it was the appearance of his partner, Robin, that really changed Archer's personality. After all, if a kid around his own age could be brave enough to take on corruption, than why shouldn't Archer himself do the same? Of course, he would never have actually fought crime, but he did finally start standing up to his bullies, protecting himself and other kids they picked on. It wasn't much, but it was a start.

Once he was in High School, Archer's life changed again. It was during one of Mister Freeze's attempts to bring an Ice Age to Gotham. When the attack came, Archer was walking home from school, passing by a small chemical lab. Mister Freeze's sudden attack covered chunks of Gotham City into a Winter Wonderland, Archer's location included. But in the midst of bombardment of cold, some barrels of discarded chemicals burst open, and their contents splashed all over Archer before the freeze blast briefly froze him. Emphasis on "brief" because within moments, Archer was able break himself free, discovering that he didn't feel any of the cold at all, despite the lack of winter clothes. From there he discovered he could manipulate the moisture in the air and freeze it into ice shapes.

Robin found him not long after that. The Boy Wonder explained that he was planning to start a team called the Teen Titans, and that Archer with his powers would make an excellent addition. It was practically a dream come true, and Archer joined without a second thought. He had no idea just what fate had in store. Soon after that was when Deadshot and Multiplex attacked. The team escaped, though not without casualty. Robin was dead. Robin, one of the first teen superheroes ever to done a cape, and student of the freaking Batman no less. Archer was shaken, to be sure, and even briefly considered giving up the notion of saving people. But then, he received the message, a text on his phone that led him to a gym where Batman and Wildcat were waiting. If fate saw fit to provide Archer a second chance, then it would have been a disservice to the memory of Robin to not accept the offer.

Secret ID: Bolin Lài
Alias: Foo Dog
Age: 19
Gender: Male

Home city: Gotham

Personality: Bolin is a smart-ass, make jokes on the fly, quick banter kind of superhero. When all else fails, at least he can joke about it. He does, however, know when to get serious. Bolin's other half, Shíshī, isn't so pleasant. Shíshī is a serious mannered spirit.

Abilities: Bolin is at the height of human ability. He's fast, strong, agile, and durable. It also helps to be possessed by a Chinese guardian spirit. The spirit, Shíshī, allows Bolin to call upon brief moments of super strength and durability in a pinch, but the use of this strength quickly drains him.

As a final resort, Bolin can allow Shíshī to come forth, transforming him into a very large, very strong creature, often referred to as a Foo Dog. He can remain in this form indefinitely, until Shíshī relinquishes control and lets Bolin take his body back.

Weakness: Burning sage in his vicinity will keep him trapped in one form. It doesn't matter which one; he'll won't be able to transformed until the sage is taken away.
Bolin's brash and frankly idiotic 'plans' of blowing into battle, guns blazing, has gotten him into trouble more than once. Strategy is not his forte. He's still young, fairly inexperienced, and without Shíshī, with whom he's constantly at ends with, he probably wouldn't have made it this far.

Appearance: Bolin fights with several forms of martial arts, so his costume must be comfortable. He wears yellow, red, and black, colors that resemble the form of Shíshī, his Foo dog. His weapon of choice is a pair of kamas.

Without his costume on, Bolin is just your average guy. He's about 5'10", has black hair, brown eyes, and is of Chinese descent.

History: One has to wonder how a young man comes to be possessed by a giant lion spirit. Bolin was just a baby when he was taken from his home, in a small village in China, by a cult of demon worshipers called The Sha Wujing clan, or just "The Clan". The Hand planned to train Bolin and eventually summon a demon to possess his body so that he could aid them in their dark deeds.

Bolin was raised by the villains, brainwashed by their ideals. They told him that he would be something great someday, but for the most part, Bolin raised himself. The Clan taught him basic education, but never bothered to train or discipline him. When it came time to have his body taken over, The Clan opened a portal to the spirit world to allow the demon to travel through. However, unknown to them a different spirit had been watching their actions, waiting to stop them. Shíshī came through instead, taking over Bolin's body and using his strength to destroy the Clan. When the villains had retreated back to their hidey holes, Shíshī gave Bolin control again. Shíshī was unable to return back to the spirit world now, forever bonded with Bolin. It took years for the two to find a way to get along. Bolin wasn't used to authority, and Shíshī was rife with it.

Bolin can still often be seen bickering with Shíshī, earning odd looks as it appears that he is speaking to himself.

Bolin is still searching for the remaining Clan members. They are all but extinct in China now, but a few branches remain in the United States. This is what brought Bolin over seas to fight. The numbers have drastically dropped since his arrival, allowing him to do other things such as join the TITANs. He'll still occasionally go off on a lead, but his heart is with the team.

Secret ID: Vesta 'Ves' Price
Alias: Argonaut
Age: 18
Home Location: Themyscria, althought she is currently situated in Metropolis.
Powers:
-Enhanced aspects of the human body
-Flight
-Healing factor
Weaknesses:
-Naivety
-Piercing weapons hurt her more than any other kind.
Equipment:
-Lasso of truth
-Bracelets of submission
-Tiara(explained below)
-A sword (Used only in extreme emergencies)
Appearance:

Personality:
Vesta is rather naive but also very courageous and willing to help anyone who needs it. A well of compassion, Vesta treats everyone equally no matter their creed, race or gender. To the point where she'd rather convince a racist to change their ways rather than attack them. Vesta tries to make jokes, but they often fall flat because of her lack of knowledge about the outside worlds customs and whatnot. While she displays a great degree of confidence, Vesta is deeply insecure and often talks about how much better her sister is when people compliment her.
Password: Titan
BRIEF Bio:
Vesta was born on the mythical isle of Themyscria. Vesta, like her sister, Diana was 'born' through her 'mother', Hippolyta creating her with clay and the soul of an unborn baby. Vesta was born quite a few years after Diana who had left Themyscria before Vesta had even begun her training.

Vesta's training began when she was around 15. Her training was a tough and rigorous regime, exhausting both her body and her mind while strengthening them at the same time. Much more emphasis was based around her mental skills though, as she was never really meant to be a warrior, just a trainer. Vesta was kept oblivious to the technology and customs of the outside world, only learning what a boy was after Diana visited home and told Vesta various things about the outside world. Of course, Vesta was still quite young and the explanation was cut short of "Girls, but with hair on their chins" and Vesta was left mostly in the dark about men.

Vesta was never intended to leave Themyscria at all, instead being trained to defend it from any danger and so she could train any new Amazons to a much more efficient rate than before. However, Vesta was curious and yearned to see the outside world after speaking with her sister rather often. Eventually, after much pestering, she was allowed to visit the outside world with Hippolyta thinking that she'd prefer the comfort of home to the harshness of the 'real' world. Of course, she was wrong.

During her short visit to the outside world, Vesta was contacted by Robin and subsequently got her arse kicked with the rest of the 'team' in the fight that concluded with Robins death. Shortly after, Hippolyta had equipment similar to that of, Diana's made for Vesta in order to help her better defend herself. Of course, Vesta isn't well versed in the use of this equipment just yet but is getting the hang of using them as quickly as she can.

Vesta loved the outside world. Diana showed her how differing the technology and culture was to that of Themyscria and Vesta finally saw a man. Although while she has seen a man she still confuses non-bearded men for women every now and then. She was allowed to stay in Metropolis, cutting her training short and leaving her under the supervision of her sister.

Accepted. Though @Metronome you need to replace the Hand with something else. It's how knew this was based off of some form of Daredevil. A more local streetgang would be better, nobody with the amount of soldiers and weaponry/training like a clan of ninjas...

I'll read the rest in a bit. I'm gonna lay down for about another 30-45 minutes.

Edited. Changed the name and made them more a cult than a group of warriors. So while they may have a select few number of members that can fight, the vast majority of them are guys that live in their moms' basements and trade demon playing cards.

So that could explain why Bolin was able to wipe them out in China.

Work in progress.

Secret ID: Lucas Gatehouse
Alias:
Age: 17
Home Location: Gotham
Powers:
-Meta Detection: Lucas sees an 'aura' around everyone, which can tell him a thing or two about their powers. At the moment, he can only see the more overt powers. For example, he could tell you Superman flies, shoots lasers, and has super strength, but he wouldn't be able to tell you about the minor hypnotism abilities the man of steel has.

-Meta Duplication: If he can achieve skin-to-skin contact with another meta human, he can duplicate their ability. He isn't very good with it, however. This duplication is a total duplication, and Lucas will be able to do everything the other person can do, except, his body tends to be rather inefficient with the power, meaning he'll be drained of energy much quicker than the original user if they were using their own power. Additionally, he is typically unskilled with the power, unless, again, he's hung onto it for a long time. Lastly, he can only hold one ability at a time.

-Enhanced Human Attributes: He is stronger and faster than the average human. He is beyond human capability, but not by too much. He can run at thirty miles an hour, and if he really sprints he can get up to fifty. He can lift up to around 750 lbs(a real guy has lifted more, much more) if he strains himself, and can deal out harder hits than an average person would be able to. Additionally, his reaction time has been increased to a phenomenal 20 miliseconds due to having significantly more synapses in his brain than the average person.

Weaknesses:
-Attempting to copy a power that is too powerful will give him a seizure, or, in more extreme cases, a brain aneurysm.
-He can't copy any magic-based powers.
-He can't see the power auras through TV or images. He's gotta see the real deal.
-Bullets. Sharp objects. Blunt force trauma. Anything that would kill a normal man would kill him.
-Electricity can hurt him really bad. He has more synapses in his brain than the rest of us, and has more electricity flowing through him at any given time. If that balance were upset, it'd hurt. Even little bits of static electricity can give him migraines.

Equipment:
-Two Eskrima sticks, which he has basically no skill with.
-A combat knife, mostly for utility reasons, but he does have the ability to use it in a fight.
-Grappling Hook
-Two smoke grenades, one flashbang
-some bolt cutters and a swiss army knife
-a flashlight

Appearance:

Lucas has a slightly better than average body type, of an average height for his age, although he's much more muscled than is the standard for people of his age, having the body of a dancer or acrobat. He's a caucasian individual, of welsh and irish decent, though he lacks the freckles that are commonplace among the irish. He has a large, friendly smile and very bright blue eyes. he's got short, very dark brown hair. In terms of clothing, comfort is his first priority, and he'll often wear hoodies and t-shirts. He likes shorts(they're comfy, and easy to wear!) but he does occasionally wear jeans.

In costume, he has a pair of black, rubber-soled, steel toe boots that make him appear perhaps an inch taller, as well as dark pants made of a tough material, with stab plates and padding inside. His costume features a composite underlayer that is somewhat similar to thermal underwear, keeping him warm and comfortable. Outside of this he wears his utility belt, within which is all the knick-knacks given to him by The Bat. Over this he has a long, flowing black coat that is comprised of kevlar, padding, and stab plates, allowing him to protect himself from injury to a certain degree. Finally, he wears a white mask that was very distantly inspired by the Comedy/Tragedy masks, though as opposed to a grin or frown he chose to draw on a thin lipped smile. The lightning bolt that is pictured is not actually on the costume. Lastly, he wears a wig when in costume as well, to further conceal his identity, as his mask does not cover his whole head.

Personality:
As a teenager with superpowers, Lucas thinks life is pretty great, man. While not strictly an optimist he can be quite optimistic, and typically has a smile on his face. He's also quite friendly, although not to the point where he's the kid who's friends with everyone. Despite this, he can get annoyed quite easily, and once he decides he does not like someone, that decision is very hard to shake. Generally he's hardhead, but he does have mutable opinions on a few things.
Lucas is a boy who likes to prove that he can do something- He has a want inside him to show that he doesn't need help. This is not to say he does not acknowledge the need for help when necessary- But even when acknowledging he needs help, he tries to do it himself anyway.
In terms of sense of humor, Lucas' favorite is dry wit and sarcasm, though he isn't the best at sarcasm himself. Lucas is sensitive to the plights and problems of others, but then often has trouble thinking about what needs to be done to actually help them- sometimes he just exacerbates the situation.

Password: Gnarkk

BRIEF Bio:
Lucas Gatehouse has lived in Gotham all his life, born to a mildly eccentric father whom was a small time movie star, and a mother who was an economist that had the demeanor of Gregory House.
They lived in a modestly sized apartment within Gotham, carefully picked to be just outside the realm of the truly terrible neighborhoods. Lucas doesn't have any particularly strong memories of the place, as it's always been a "place to put his stuff" as opposed to a location that has meaning to him. As a boy he didn't have many friends largely due to little opportunity to go out and meet them- His father worked with a very young crowd that didn't have any children that he could be introduced to, and his mother worked with people that would rather shit bricks then waste time on something that wasn't money.
But life went on, and he went to school, eventually becoming associated with "the weird kids" whom would later evolve into "the theater kids", though his social circle would eventually be much more encompassing in the future. It was in middle school that he first discovered his ability, he saw a girl in his class with the aura around her, and when he shook her hand as part of a 'get to know you' exercise, he had his first seizure due to his body not being ready to accept all but the weakest of powers at the point.
It was at this point his mother and father began fighting, due to gradually rising money problems due to his father's inability to get another role in a production, and Lucas' apparent health issue with the seizures they now had to deal with. To escape from home troubles Lucas immersed himself in the theater and became a part of many school theatrical productions, becoming quite a good actor.
The more he acted, the more and more he watched the television to get' inspiration' for his roles. But as he watched TV he became drawn to the exploits of superheroes on the news, the bright costumes reminding him of his lovely time in Theater class. The seed of an idea formed in his head- He could be a superhero.
It was shortly after he'd resolved on the idea of becoming a superhero that he got the call from Robin, and went to meet with him and the others.

Notes: He swears profusely, mostly because he has reached a point where such language no longer has any sort of 'weight' to it, but he's trying to get a handle on it. Also, please forgive the terrible history, I'm very tired and I wanted to get it over with.

Sample Post:

"I would kill for a few molotov cocktails, a machine gun with limitless ammunition, and... Aw, hell, why not an Apache Attack Helicopter too?" Lucas was attempting to think of ways this situation could be better. Like, if Robin had thought to invite Batman. That probably would've helping.
A Multiplex clones' fist slammed into Lucas' mask, sending him stumbling.
"You son-of-a-bitch. Do you know how long this mask took to make?" Lucas pulled out his knife, making big, awkward slashes at the clone. It wasn't connecting due to Lucas' lack of skill, but it was keeping the clone at bad, while it clearly tried to search for some kind of opportunity to ruin Lucas's day and probably the health of his bones as well.
"Like, a couple hours, dude. You almost broke it. Not nice." As Lucas finished his sentence, the Multiplex clone spotted an opening and went for a punch. Lucas stepped out of the way, slashing with his knife and making a huge gap in the Multiplex costume.
"Aw, hell yeah." Lucas smiled under his mask. This fight would be getting a whole lot easier. The Multiplex clone through another punch and Lucas stepped back, kicking out hard with his foot, sending the clone sprawling.
"C'mere, you bastard." Lucas jumped on top of the clone, wrenching off his glove and shoving it into the hole in the Multiplex costume, while the clone struggled, legs flailing and arms attempting to push Lucas off, blows that suffered from lack of movement range attempting to pound into Lucas' chest.
"We win." Lucas said, grinning wider. He envisioned Multiplex's aura of power flowing into his own, combining with it, melding with him...
Nothing. Nothing was happening. A fist smashed into the side of his head, causing a spiderweb of cracks on the lower left portion of the somewhat delicate mask, sending Lucas rolling a meter.
"What happened...?" Lucas' daxed brain attempted to understand why the hell he couldn't copy Multiplex's power. He willed himself to see the arua of the clones, fighting all around him, and the one he had tackled got up.
"They all have the aura... Oh, eff-me. I gotta figure out which one of them is the original." The thought hit him like a bus, as the clone got closer, walking slowly. It looked as though Lucas maybe have broken one of its ribs, staggering, one arm pressed into it's side, the other outstretched towards Lucas.
He got back on his feet, prepared to fight, shouting "I'm gonna knock you down on your ass again, and when I do-" when suddenly-
"BANG! BANG! BANG!" The noise tore through the air. Not long after that, the silence returned to the still night air, and the fight was over. The villains were gone. The teen heroes either looked down, or stared at the boy wonder. A hero was now nothing more than a corpse. Lucas tried to swallow the lump in his throat, looking at the broken, beaten body, still dressed in the cheery colors of Robin. It didn't feel like the thing lying where was Robin... It felt like it was a stranger in a Robin suit. Like it couldn't be happening. That the busted lips and the shattered arms bent at unnatural angles and the red-rimmed bullet holes on the forehead just couldn't be happening. But it was.

Meta Detection, ie, the super power of stating the obvious. Guys, I totally sense that Superman can, stay with me on this, fly! No seriously, he can fly! I can sense that about him! @Ghost Queen The entire time I read the CS I didn't look at his image. I thought 'he reminds me of the guy from Dexter's Lab on the Justice Friends. Then I looked at the pic and BAM! I like the idea of a teen with a jacked up guitar of power, but not the whole actually being a God of Rock. You wanna make a teen hero with a sonic guitar, I'm all for it.

@Weird Tales Okay, I'm pretty sure I bolded it up top. We're all rookies and a marksman and a duplicating man beat Robin to death and kept us all from interfering. I guy with a power set like this...

He has the strength of 9 Olympic strong men and the speed of 9 professional athletes. His body has angel wings, which grant him the power of high-speed flight and excellent aerial agility. His senses are several times stronger than a normal human and he possesses a reaction time that allows him to knock bullets out of the air with his mace, from minor firearms such as pistols and shotguns.

... wouldn't have much problem taking down the two villains. It's a good CS, reminds me a little of Zauriel from the Grant Morrison era JLA, but it's too much to be in a group of inexperienced heroes. Heroes with weapons are also a thing apparently, and with our resident Amazon and Met's ninja already wielding them I don't think any future accepted CS's will have characters who use weapons.

@DocTachyon I like the WIP for the most part, but for him to get taken down by a bunch of Multiplex duplicates you'd have to limit his power thievery to literally skin to skin contact. That was he wouldn't just steal Multiplex' duplication power...

@Ultimate Spidey This is a WIP I can't wait to see the rest of. With super speed you'd have to have Deadshot take her down in the opening of the fight before Robin died.

_______________________________________

On a separate note: A lot of what I'm seeing powers wise is every other hero having heightened physical attributes plus a few additional powers. From here on out I don't wanna see anymore of that. Simplify. Less is more. Challenge yourself. I also thought I saw somebody who transformed into a Bear but it's gone or been replaced. With Met's person changing into a Chinese demon dog or whatever any werebears/wolves/etc would be too redundant.

When you look at the classic Teen Titans there's: Robin, trained by Batman w/no powers; Speedy, trained by Green Arrow w/no powers; Aqualad, trained by Aquaman w/power to breath underwater; Kid Flash, trained by Flash w/speed that always got him ahead of himself and tripped him up; Wonder Girl, trained by Wonder Woman w/bullet proof bracelets only.

^^^^ That team right there would've been destroyed by Deadshot and Multiplex. We shouldn't be much more than that even with a larger group.

Eyy you got it! Didn't think anyone would get the reference, anyway I can accept the god thing. Can we compromise with having magic? The idea I had for him would have the guitar and music acting as his channel, without those two the magic would just run wild(er). Maybe be the teams go-to guy for magical matters in the future?

I could buy that he came into the possession of a magic guitar. Maybe somebody made a deal with a demon to upgrade the guitar and what it can do and at some point it found it's way in a pawn shop? Then your guy gets it and... BAM! New superhero dude.
